Set in the peaceful village of Edenhall near Penrith, Tollbar Cottage is a beautifully presented four-bedroom sandstone home that blends modern comfort with rustic charm. The living room is a cozy retreat with comfortable seating and a log burner, while the large, fully equipped kitchen is bright with views over the meadows and mountains. Our home This is our much-loved holiday home, and we kindly ask guests to treat it with care. To help keep the house comfortable and clean for everyone, we ask that shoes are not worn indoors. Thank you for your understanding. Entrance & Kitchen: Step through the porch into a welcoming space with storage for coats and shoes. The bright, airy kitchen is fully equipped with premium appliances and all utensils you’ll need, including an induction hob, dual oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, and air fryer. The Welcome Book details the kitchen inventory and instructions for a seamless stay. Living Room: The living area features plush sofas, two additional pouffes, and a wood-burning stove for cozy evenings. A 43-inch smart TV and elegant coffee table with blankets and coasters complete the space. Sunroom & Dining: The sunroom boasts a luxurious ceramic marble table and velvet chairs for six, perfect for meals or relaxing while enjoying views of the garden, meadows, and surrounding mountains. Bedrooms & Bathrooms: • Master Bedroom: King-size velvet bed, solid oak bedside tables, dressing table with mirror and stool, fitted wardrobe, ensuite with rain shower, vanity unit, Molton Brown body soap, and heated towel rail. Private balcony with glass balustrade offers stunning views. • Bedroom 1: Double velvet bed, solid oak bedside tables, and a large sliding wardrobe. • Bedroom 2: Double velvet bed with oak bedside tables. • Bedroom 3: Two single velvet beds with central bedside table. • Master Bathroom: Freestanding oval bath, rain shower with handheld shower, Molton Brown body soap, vanity unit, and heated towel rail. Additional Details: A children’s high chair and utensils are provided. Please note that cots are not provided. Due to the character of the property, doorways are narrower than modern homes, so no child gates are included. House Rules: Our property is not suitable for parties or group celebrations. This is a quiet holiday home and not suitable for work crews or contractor stays. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy full access to the home and its amenities throughout their stay. A few small areas are reserved for household storage and maintenance - including the stairway beside the sunroom, the linen cupboard near the main bathroom, and the large kitchen cupboard containing the boiler. The garage is also kept locked and not in use. These spaces help us keep the home running smoothly so everything else is ready for you to relax and enjoy. Other things to note In the kitchen, you’ll find a Welcome Book containing all the information you’ll need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This includes Wi-Fi details, house guidelines, a full kitchen inventory, and instructions for the television and other appliances.
