Mur Mawr is a traditional Welsh mountain cottage. Very few changes have been made since the cottage was built in 1885. It is definitely a complete detox from 21st century life. Truly beautiful in its simplicity and sense of timelessness, however if it is all ‘Mod-cons’ you are looking for, then it is not the right place for you. Guest access Downstairs: LIVING ROOM: 2 sofas (sofa facing the chimney is the pet sofa) Small TV with channel 5 only. Basic but very cosy room. Electric heater. KITCHEN: basic, standard kitchen equipment, including electric cooker, microwave, fridge. Please note: the water supply for the cottage is from a natural stream at the back of the cottage, So. we would recommend the use of bottled water (provided) for drinking, or you can use the water filtering jug. Electric heater. Hot water. BATHROOM: Roll Top bath. No shower & NO TOWELS provided. Water pressure for the bath can at times be a little weak due to water source from the stream. Hot water. UTILITY ROOM:. Washing machine, storage. UPSTAIRS: Crog loft bedroom : Cosy space with double bed, chest of draws & clothes rail, night light, assortment of reading books. Electric heater. THE SPARE ROOM :This room is private and guests are not allowed access. Other things to note There is parking available by the cottage. Please note that the track from the road to the cottage is a little narrow and bumpy in places. Therefore, It is advisable to walk up the track to ascertain the suitability for your vehicle. If you choose to park at the bottom, please do so on the side of the old bus stop. Alternatively, you can park in the field to the right of the centre gate.
