Surrounded by walking trails, vineyards and picturesque drives, this cosy seaside retreat is peaceful and perfectly placed for your next Tassie adventure. The space 3 bedroom cottage, steeped in history. Named 'Fred's Cottage' after our Grandmother Freda who grew up in Swan Point and loved the pebbly shores and tree lined stretches of Paper Beach. Note the historic photos displayed around the home of Swan Point and Paper Beach from the 1940s and 50s - including diary entries from her many walks and overland adventures. You are perfectly placed to explore all of North Tasmania. Only a minute's walk to Paper Beach, immediate access to walking trails and historic places such as Supply River at the end of the road and a short drive (or slightly longer bike ride) to many of the stunning Tamar Valley Wineries. 30 mins to fabulous Launceston, 25 minutes to Beauty Point, 20 mins to Beaconsfield, 10 mins to Exeter and 5 mins to Gravelly Beach. If that's not enough, within an hours drive places you at the top of Tasmania - Green's Beach, Low Head, Badger's Beach, Devonport - take your pick! A large combined dining and living room bookended with light filled french doors and windows features a small retro sofa, two super comfortable armchairs, a television with all the streaming apps installed ready for you to log into and a stunning fireplace (a small amount of starter wood is provided, feel free to purchase more if needed by the bag nearby at Swan Point Road)- there is also a beautiful antique dining table and chaise lounge. Each of the three bedrooms features a queen size bed with plenty of pillows and lovely linen. Two of the bedrooms have a small built in closet, whilst the third has a luggage stand. Each bedroom has bedside shelves, lamps and block out curtains for privacy. A single cozy shared bathroom features in the home with shower, vanity and toilet combined (please note - there is no bathtub if you are travelling with children). Shampoo, conditioner and body wash is provided for use and towels readily available (another note - this home runs on a septic system so only the toilet paper provided may be flushed - please dispose of anything else in the rubbish bin) The kitchen is a pastel dream featuring repurposed vintage cabinetry and a large farmhouse sink. There are pots, pans, plates, cutlery, cups and glassware galore for use. If you feel the need to cook there is a freestanding over/stove and microwave on top of the refrigerator (feel free to search all the kitchen cupboards and drawers for thr equipment you need - we have an assortment). You also have access to a kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee maker (tea and coffee pods in the pink canisters - help yourself). Cleaning supplies are underneath the kitchen sink (please note - there is not a dishwasher, so dishes must be washed and dried by hand). A beautiful cottage style garden features in the front and back of the home with seating areas, outdoor dining set, BBQ and fire-pit for use - festoon lights cover the rear patio. In the shed you will find the washer and dryer and access to many bikes (including a tandem) and kayaks (with life vests) which you may want to use to explore the stunning tracks and waterways of the surrounding areas or cycle to a winery or two! Guest access Guests have access to the entire property including front and back yards and multipurpose shed/laundry. Other things to note Bringing a pet? Please ensure you bring their bed and have them set-up somewhere cosy on the floor when you are home - avoid your dog being on the furniture or carpeted bedrooms areas and please do not leave your dog unattended inside. We have a fully fenced yard but note that the front fence is low so may not be suitable for larger dogs or jumpers. Please also ensure you clean-up after your dog when they do their business in the yard. This will help us minimise the cleaning cost associated with having your furry friend stay and ensure we can keep our place pet friendly. Fireplace & firewood - a small amount of starter wood is provided for you to enjoy. If you plan i=on using the fireplace regularly you may need to purchase more wood at your own cost. This is sold nearby, in bags, on Swan Point Road. Events and Noise - our home is not to be used for events or parties. Please respect our lovely community by keeping noise to a minimum between the hours or 10pm and 8am (as per local council bylaws). Septic System - our home utilizes a septic system. Please only use the toilet paper provided and throw anything else (facial wipes, baby wipes, tissues etc) in the rubbish. Registration Details PA2025234
