Villa Mojo Jogja—Experience "kampoeng life"

Villa Mojo is a comfortable and thoughtfully designed space that celebrates Indonesia’s rich heritage, the elegance and beauty of local culture, history and materials. Located in Tembi, our authentic desa wisata joglo showcases 150-year-old traditional teak buildings with modern updates. You’re met with simple, rustic elegance that is also serene and harmonious at the same time—indigenous birds singing, leaves rustling in the breeze and the stirring of kampoeng life with a gamelan soundtrack. The space Villa Mojo is a model of indoor/outdoor living. The indoor part consists of two limasan-style buildings offering three air-conditioned guest rooms--each with an open ensuite bathroom, with a shower and tub and solar-powered hot water to every tap. There is speedy wi-fi connection as well as updated lighting and electrical service property-wide. Every room has a universal outlet with USB ports to offer even more options for guests. Please remember that we are an eco-friendly property and are also trying to keep the property as authentic as possible. Our buildings are traditional Javanese structures, made mostly of teak, with rustic character but also all the unavoidable seams and spaces. All rooms have both an air conditioner and a ceiling fan—they can be made cool but not "refrigerator cold". Outdoors, the natural stone pool is the focal point for the property, enjoyed from the open living room and kitchen (located between the two buildings, with ceiling fans that keep the area cool and breezy), the covered terraces surrounding each building or from the seating/lounging options on the pool decks, bale (poolside hut) or the spacious grassy area. The whole property is enclosed by both solid and bamboo fences for privacy and security. Villa Mojo’s covered carport accommodates up to two large cars or six motorbikes--or a combination of the two (at no cost). We may be able to accommodate one more car or two to three more bikes with advanced notification. Guest access Guests are allowed full use of the property.
