Entire cabin - Wabamun Lake

Welcome to Wabamun Lake, a popular destination for fishing, boating and swimming. There are walking and cycling trails and golf courses nearby. Located just 55 km west of Edmonton, a 30 minute drive from City limits. We have a cozy 2 bedroom cabin with all the amenities, including an outdoor kitchen. We are the second lot from the lake (not beach front) so swimming is best at Wabamun Lake Provincial Park beach, 720 meters away. Your well behaved pet is welcome. (Pet fee is $25/visit) The space The cabin is approximately 600 sq.ft. with an open concept designed space (ceiling is vaulted, walls don’t go all the way to ceiling except for bathroom). The kitchen contains fridge, stove and microwave, cooking utensils and table with 6 chairs. The living room has a sofa bed (which despite a new 4” foam mattress is not quite as comfortable as a real bed), rocking chair, loveseat and coffee table. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, while the second bedroom has a single size bunk bed.(The original store bought bunks didn’t last so this is Darrell built strong for any weight) The small bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. Hair dryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. Bath towels are included - please bring your own beach towels. There is an outdoor kitchen on the large wrap-around deck. This kitchen includes a double sink with running water, 2 burner propane camp stove, Bar-B-Q, stand alone propane ‘Blackstone’ griddle, it’s a great spot for cooking breakfasts, hamburgers etc. Patio table and chairs for on deck use. The yard has trees and grass and is quite private. There is plenty of space to enjoy, including a designated octagon shaped gravel pad with a chiminea for fires. Six lawn chairs are provided. We charge $10 for up to four hours of fire. Guest access Parking is provided for maximum of 2 vehicles on the driveway, parking is not permitted on roads. The Wabamun Provincial Park beach is is best accessed by walking 720 meters on local roads. There is a marked swimming area, a large sandy beach and playgrounds. There are two boat launches - one at the Provincial Park, and the other in the town of Wabamun. The town of Wabamun is a lakeside community located about 6 km. west on Hwy 16. It has unique shops, as well as a grocery store, pharmacy, hardware store, car wash, laundromat, gas station, liquor/convenience store, restaurant/cafe and hotels. Waterfront Park - lake-shore access, parking and full-sized boat launch, picnic area with shelter, washrooms and change rooms, playground and water spray park. This area is very popular for families. (Parking charges apply) A number of golf courses are in the surrounding area. Other things to note This is a family vacation location, the maximum allowed is one family, up to 2 vehicles and up to 6 people, no exceptions, no extra visitors allowed please.
