shepherd's hut in Houghton

🌿 The Cow Shed 🐮 Our shepherds hut is in the South Downs National Park, in Houghton next to Amberley. It has a private area out the front with a picnic bench, and inside has a comfy double bed, compact kitchen, and bathroom (shower sink and toilet)— surrounded by rolling hills, lots of scenic walks, and welcoming pubs in walking distance. It’s also not far from Arundel (10 minutes in car). We have private secure parking for your stay on our drive and will meet you to give you access & keys. The space Shepherds hut - - one double bed - small kitchen (fridge, kettle -tea and coffee provided and milk, microwave, also has cutlery plates and cups, microwaveable cups for soup, wine glasses and bottle opener) - bathroom (sink, small shower and toilet) - has a hair dryer - WiFi available - extra blankets and towels provided - picnic bench out front Surrounding area: - plenty of walks by the river or over the surrounding rolling hills of the south down national park - can provide you with a map of the area - gorgeous pubs walking distance , we’re in the middle of The Bridge inn pub and George and the Dragon pub in Houghton. Another restaurant near is the Boat house and the River Side Tea Rooms (that also offer boat rides) - Amberley museum is short walking distance from our house - Arundel is approx. 10 minutes in the car - Chichester is approx. 20 minutes in the car - local taxi service available - Goodwood very close - great for races and festival of speed / revival etc 15/20 mins - Fontwell Racecouse is 10/15 minutes away in car too Guest access We have private gated drive that you can park on during your stay. The house does have cameras looking over the drive. Note: Please be responsible of your own property. Other things to note Our air bnb is near to a not very busy road (houghton bridge). Doesn’t overlook completely but is in slight view when outside, looking to the right.
