West Wind is a thoroughly refurbished 1930s chalet bungalow in Porlock, offering comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 6 guests across two levels. The space There are three bedrooms in total: a king-size double with en-suite bathroom on the first floor, and two further bedrooms on the ground floor, one twin and the other a versatile room with zip-link beds that can be made up as a super-king double or twin (please state your preference at least 7 days before arrival; otherwise it will be made up as a super-king). The sitting room features two sofas, a chair, a realistic electric wood-burner, and a smart TV with DVD player, while a dining room adjoins the modern kitchen, which is fitted with all new appliances. A ground-floor shower room offers a spacious walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin, and the first-floor en-suite includes a bath, toilet and hand basin. All bedrooms have hanging rails and chests of drawers. A warm utility area to the rear houses the washing machine and a Belfast sink with shower attachment, ideal for muddy boots and paws, plus a covered storage area by the kitchen door. A travel cot and high chair are stored in the eaves. Outside, a large decked patio runs the length of the property, enclosed by balustrading, with a table and six chairs for al fresco dining and wonderful views across the marshes to the Porlock coastline. Gated steps lead up to a steep, lawned rear garden with a bench and seating area enjoying further coastal views. Private parking for up to two cars is provided beside the cottage, with additional space sometimes available further up the lane. Wifi, heating and electricity are included, along with towels and bed linen. Dogs are welcome (maximum two) for a supplement of GBP 15 per dog, though they should be kept off furniture, off the upstairs floor, and not left unattended. Children are welcome, though supervision is recommended due to the steep, stepped rear garden.
