Samaya is a little world of its own. Leave Flores by boat and five minutes later you’re in the middle of our jungle, right on the lake.White Lotus is your own spacious apartment, with a big private balcony overlooking the water and palm trees. Swim, kayak, practice yoga, explore the jungle, or spend an afternoon in a hammock. Yoga, sauna, kayaks and paddle boards are yours to enjoy, and your arrival and departure boat rides are on us. Our boat is available 24/7 during your stay at operating cost The space 🌿 The Samaya Experience Staying at Samaya is about more than your apartment. You’re welcome to enjoy the whole property and make the place your own. Take a kayak or paddle board onto the lake, wander the jungle trails, find a hammock with a view, sit around the fire, or simply spend the afternoon by the water. The property covers more than two acres of jungle, and there’s always something happening around you. Howler monkeys regularly move through the trees, while hummingbirds and parrots are frequent visitors. Down by the water you’ll find our beach, hammock nests, sauna and plunge pool — a great place to spend the afternoon or watch the sun go down. You can also book a massage and have it right on your private balcony. Yoga is a big part of Samaya, and guests are welcome to join our classes whenever they’re on the schedule. Every afternoon from 5:30–7:00 PM, our sauna comes alive with candlelight and torches. Move from the heat into the cool plunge pool, relax by the water, and see where the evening takes you. It’s shared with other Samaya guests and residents, and it often becomes one of those evenings you remember — good conversations and the lake right there beside you. ✨ Guest access 🚤 Getting to & from Flores Samaya is accessible only by boat, and Flores is just a 5-minute ride across the lake. Your arrival and departure boat rides are on us. During your stay, our boat is available whenever you need it: 5:00 AM – 10:30 PM: Q40 per boat, per trip 10:30 PM – 5:00 AM: Q100 per boat, per trip The price is per boat, not per person. So you can come and go from Flores whenever you like without having to arrange a separate boat each time. Other things to note Please read carefully before booking: • Our property is just a 5-minute boat ride from Flores Island. Our private boat service runs daily from 5:00 AM–10:30 PM for just Q40 per ride (not per person). This service is offered at our operating cost, making it simple and affordable to explore the island whenever you wish. Between 10.30 pm and 5:00 am our boat is still available but for Q 100 per boatride. So guaranteed 24 hrs boatservice to Flores within minutes. • The property is located on a hillside, and reaching the apartments requires climbing stairs. Paths are paved and clearly visible, but this may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations. Guests should feel comfortable stepping in and out of the boat during arrival and departures. • Children are warmly welcome at Samaya. As with any nature retreat, we kindly ask that young children are supervised by an adult at all times, especially when enjoying the lake and outdoor areas. We have life jackets available. • Our wonderful cooks, Doña Berta and Iris, can prepare a traditional Guatemalan breakfast, pancakes or yoghurt with granola and fruits served in the comfort of your apartment. These breakfasts are Q 75. Please let us know the evening before through our WA group. • Lunch and dinner delivery from Maracuya Restaurant, a beloved local restaurant, is available between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM. You may also visit Flores Island at any time to enjoy its many dining options. • Samaya offers well-equipped kitchens in each apartment for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals. Flores has several grocery stores, including La Torre supermarket in nearby Santa Elena. You can cross any time you want.
