Cozy Yukon Cabin • Stunning Escape Near Carcross
Description
Welcome to the Yukon Den! Tucked away on a peaceful Carcross acreage, this rustic dry cabin blends Yukon charm with comfort. With power but no running water, you’ll enjoy a true off-grid experience without sacrificing comfort. This is a cozy, Yukon-style retreat — perfect for couples, small families, or friends who want to slow down, reconnect, and experience the best of Carcross and the surrounding wilderness. Two queen beds, one located in a bedroom off the living room and one in the loft. The space Property & Setting: Nestled on 3 private acres of peaceful forest, Carcross Den offers plenty of space to unwind and soak up the Yukon wilderness. The acreage is shared with your host (that’s me!) and my sweet senior dog, Betty White, but you’ll have your own private dry cabin, outdoor firepit, and plenty of room to relax in nature. Location: Located in rural Carcross, the cabin is just minutes from the Carcross Desert, the sandy shores of Bennett Lake, and the legendary trails of Montana Mountain. You’re less than 5 minutes from both Nares and Caribou Mountain trailheads, and positioned halfway between Whitehorse and the White Pass — the perfect base to rest your legs and body after exploring the stunning traditional territory of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation. Whitehorse: 35–40 minutes by car Skagway, Alaska: Just over an hour Nearby Adventures: From your own private deck (or even your bed), you might catch the northern lights dancing overhead. Step outside to world-class mountain biking, skiing, and hiking trails, or wander across the road to Wild Adventure Yukon where you can meet husky puppies and Highland cows. And on quiet evenings, you may even hear the sweet sound of the huskies howling from the cabin. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin, outhouse and surrounding area of the cabin. Owner and dog live onsite next door. Other things to note Please note, this is a traditional Yukon dry cabin — no running water inside. You’ll stay warm and comfortable with (limited) electricity, a wood stove, and an outdoor firepit. Clean drinking water is provided in jugs, and for showers you can visit Montana Services or the Carcross Pool (open in summer). Firewood is included, and parking is available right at the cabin. Depending on the season, you’ll enjoy endless summer daylight for adventure-filled days, or cozy winter nights with the magical possibility of northern lights dancing overhead. This is a truly authentic Yukon stay — rustic, welcoming, and unforgettable. One dog per stay upon request. Must be kept on leash and not left alone in cabin or on property. No cats or other animals. The cabin is decorated with original artwork from Den Designs, created by your host.
