Nestled in the peaceful, charming town of Barmera, our cottage is a cosy, freshly renovated 2-bedroom retreat that comfortably accommodates up to 4, but can sleep 5 across 3 beds. No pets allowed. However Riverland Boarding Kennels is 2mins away.. Tucked amongst shady pepper trees, it only takes a step out to the front to enjoy stunning views of Lake Bonney. Just a hop across the road brings you to the water’s edge—ideal for a morning walk, a paddle, or simply relaxing by the shore. In the evenings, settle in on the front verandah and await the spectacular sunsets that light up the lake. The Lakehouse has heating and cooling to keep you comfortable in all seasons. Free Wifi and two smart TVs. The kitchen has been recently updated and includes an electric oven and cooktop, fridge, microwave & Nespresso coffee machine (please bring your own pods or visit the local IGA) It is equipped with all the basics including tea & instant coffee, sugar, cooking oil, salt & pepper, paper towell, glad wrap and foil. You will also find a complimentary long-life milk on arrival and breakfast cereal. Rain water can be accessed from the rainwater tank for the kettle. The fully renovated bathroom features a large shower recess with support rails and a detachable shower head. For your convenience hand wash, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, and a hairdryer are available. Bath towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towells. In the open plan living area you will find a small breakfast dining setting for two with lake views as you enjoy a coffee. Also a breakfast bar & 2 stools (a highchair) And just a step outside through the glass sliding doors you will find a further 2 outdoor seats to breathe in the fresh air. Plus a 4 person outdoor dining table & chairs with a BBQ for your use. Please clean BBQ after use. There are two, 2 seater lounges so you can all enjoy relaxing & watching tv or the option of watching the other tv from the comfort of the master bed. You will find next to the bathroom a wall cupboard which holds books, games, children's toys, extra blankets, a clothes iron & ironing board, a small vaccum and first aid kit. A Fire extinguisher and blanket is also located here. The main bedroom features a Queen bed, and hanging space plus a dresser with 2 extra bed pillows if needed. It also has a smart tv. The second bedroom features a double bed and a single bed, with convenient hanging storage. All bed linen is provided. A portacot (no linen) & stroller can be found under the single bed. There is a small outdoor laundry with washing powder, basket, pegs and a clothes line at the back of the house should you wish to do laundry during your stay. Cold water only and please turn off the tap after use. For those with children who follow the Marvel Movies, the Lake has its very own GROOT tree. The name Lisa (the owner) has fondly given it!! See if you can spot it around the lake 🙂 A framed photo is hanging on the wall to help you identify it. So whether you're seeking a quiet couples’ getaway or a peaceful escape with friends or family, Alisa’s Little Lakehouse invites you to relax, recharge, and soak up the serenity of lakeside living. Its conveniently located next to the Lake and only a short walk to the Golf Course, Main street, Barmera Club, Lakes Cafe, Blue Bird Cafe, Boat ramp and the childrens Play Park. There is enough Off street parking for your cars plus your boat or jetski. There is a hose in the front garden for watering the garden only, not to be used for washing cars and boats please. The tap must stay in the On position (has been taped up) to allow automatic drippers to come on daily. Guest access Guests will have full private access to the property, EXCLUDING the small shed on the right in the backyard and the locked double-door closet inside which house the owner's personal items. Please note: Our hot water system is an electric system and only heats overnight, so please be mindful of shower time or you will find yourself with no hot water until the next morning. The garden hose is for the garden ONLY and not to be used for hosing and washing vehicles or boats. it must remain on for automatic watering systems. Other things to note A high chair can be found in the laundry. A portacot & stroller is stored underneath the single bed for your use. Please note: Our hot water system only heats overnight so please be mindful of shower time or you will find yourself with no hot water until the next morning. Also note that the Riverland fire danger Season is between November to April. No fires are permitted at the property during this period. A small fire is permitted outside of the fire danger season but only in the provided fire bin (found in laundry)and to be used at the front of the house on the small paved rectangle.
