From this barn, which has been converted into a home, contraband was smuggled across the French border. Discover this charming stable building; from here, you can even walk to a brewery or visit various cafés and restaurants. If you are traveling with a larger group or if you would like to travel together but still have a bit of privacy, you can rent these together. The space These 2 completely renovated holiday homes are built in the shed of a former tobacco factory and the associated house. Old beams and walls floors etc... were purified and upgraded and built entirely according to a LOFT principle. The open downstairs space of the shed consisting of kitchen and living room, an entrance hall and bathroom room with toilet and jointless walk-in shower. The open-plan upstairs can be described as one spacious family room or dorm room In the house, there is a laundry room with a washing machine and a drying cabinet, plus an additional toilet and shower. If you rent both apartments with your group, there is enough space to make it cozy and dine together. Both houses are a nice addition to each other for a larger group. There is a beautiful outdoor space with table and lounge and pond where you can enjoy outside and BBQ on nice hot days and evenings. Both accommodations have been recently intensively renovated and feature modern comforts; central heating , bathrooms, dishwashers, 2 kitchens 3 showers and a hot tub. Come extraordinary enjoyment in a very cozy classic Country Loft style. From the first moment you step inside, you feel the holiday vibe. The old thick walls with insulation keep the summer heat outside well Parking is free and more than sufficiently available in most periods. There is also a bicycle storage room behind the house available. Guest access Both vacation homes enjoy privacy opposite each other, and therefore have their own entrance. Each vacation home has a separate front door with a key box next to the door... The code for this will be communicated between 1 and 3 days in advance via the website. Each vacation home also has its own outdoor space with seating furniture Bicycles can be parked in the outdoor space behind the house. The car can be parked for FREE, often close to the door, with larger parking crowds there is a lot of parking space available in the Steenvoordestraat between the house and towards France. There is a common laundry and drying room with toilet and shower... This common laundry room is subject to TERMS OF USE when renting the apartments separately. *No noise (washing and drying) between 12 and 2 p.m. and not in the evening between 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. * Use the door chains when using the shower to ensure your own privacy, and do not gain access by removing the chain if the space is in use by someone else. *Only use the common toilet and shower room if the private bathroom/toilet room is occupied *CLOSE YOUR access door after each use When renting both homes to one group The laundry room functions as an INSIDE passage for both homes to each other! Other things to note Indoor smoking is NEVER ALLOWED We dispose of the waste free of charge if it is neatly sorted. Please sort the waste into *PMD (plastic, cans, packaging goods, PET bottles) can be placed outside in the metal cabinet by the pond *Residual waste (also in the metal cabinet by the pond) *Paper and cardboard (in the closet under the stairs in a box) or just indoors *Glass (in the cabinet under the stairs) *Unspoiled food may remain NEATLY in the fridge in its original packaging (our chickens and pigs will thank you) *The house is left brush clean upon departure, in case of pets at least vacuumed. If the waste is unsorted, a charge of €30/bag will be charged. Also, if the dishes are NOT washed, this flat rate of €30 will be charged. In case of damage to objects or decoration, we would like to hear from you, often no costs are charged for this, a small gift in that case will be accepted with gratitude
