In winter, you can go to nearby ski resorts (Jasná, Mýto pod Ďumbierom, Tale, Čierny Balog,) or take advantage of the extensive cross-country skiing trails (Vagnár). Within 10 to 15 minutes on foot you can get everywhere you need (city center, train and bus station, TESCO shopping centers, LIDL, KAUFLAND).
