The cottage is situated in the beautiful Bays area of Harris - full of local wildlife. It's a great base to explore Harris from - an easy, beautiful drive to the West Coast - or up to North Harris and beyond. But it's also a terrifically tranquil cottage with large garden and beautiful views if you just want to relax for a day or two instead in-between explorations. The space We hope you will find it very comfortable, relaxing and have everything you need for your holiday It's an eclectic cottage with a well equipped Galley Kitchen , 2 double Bedrooms, Lounge (with a working stove), Dining Room and Bathroom. There is Wi-Fi, an extensive Blu-Ray/DVD library, Surround sound system, Board games, loads of books, an Internet Radio in the Bedroom etc... In the dining room, there is a large wall map and lots of information to forward plan 'expeditions', and we have Picnic equipment available to use to: Flasks, plastic dinnerware / cutlery, picnic blankets, folding chairs and beach tent. Perfect to take with you whilst exploring the Island. Depending on what time of year you are here (and if you can beat the birds to them), please feel free to pick the Rhubarb, Blackcurrants, Gooseberries, and a few Blueberries and Strawberries. We also plant lettuce each year and try (emphasis on the word 'try'!) a few vegetables. In 2025 we attempted Courgettes, Kale and Beetroot, but only the courgettes were a winner! Again, like the soft fruit - please do help yourself. Guest access There is parking at the Cottage and plenty of walking to be had from outside the Back Door.
