Coolamondah Country Cottage

Relax at our peaceful cottage set in a mango/ fruit orchard overlooking our large dam and cattle/ sheep grazing pastures on our 111-acre property. Enjoy bush walks through native forest, gullies, and ridges, or fish, kayak, and swim in the dam. Guests can watch or help with afternoon animal feeding. The self-catering cottage includes a kitchen, Weber BBQ, microwave, and cooktop, with complimentary tea, coffee, and milk. Shops are 30 minutes away in Biggenden or Maryborough, so bring supplies. The space The self contained cottage features two bedrooms with one queen bed (2 people) and second bedroom has a set of single bunk beds (2 people) and a folding single bed (1 person) is also available for a fifth person and the living room has a pull out sofa bed for a sixth person (a sixth person will have a extra charge of $25/night); a kitchenette, dining and lounge areas; newly renovated bathroom and lovely large deck overlooking our picturesque dams. You can capture the morning sun at the table setting on the front landing. The general living area is air conditioned with ceiling fans in each of the bedrooms and lounge. There is a four seater table setting on the deck as well as a laundry tub if required. Ample uncovered parking is available next to the cottage in our orchard. There is no TV reception to the cottage however a good WiFi signal is available for use on personal devices. In mango season (Dec, Jan, Feb) guests can pick some mangoes for free from the Coolamondah Orchard during their stay. Guest access Guests have access to the entire self contained cottage which includes two bedrooms, kitchenette, dining and lounge areas and front and back decks overlooking the orchard or dam and timbered grazing pasture. Guests can also use the dam for swimming, fishing or kayaking or go on some pre-marked bush walks through old timber forest, gullies and ridges. By arrangement, guests can join us for animal feeding several afternoons of the week. The main entrance to our property is by an electronic gate which we can remotely open and close as needed or for longer stays we can add guests to the gate control system. As our property is powered by solar batteries we cannot allow charging of Electric vehicles unless in emergency situations and with the expressed permission of the hosts. A additional fee will be charged on these occasions. Other things to note Your Hosts, Donna and David will meet you on arrival and direct you to the Coolamondah Country Cottage. Guests are asked to provide an anticipated arrival time so that our electronic front gate can be opened for their arrival.
