Dome in At-Tuweisa

Description

This hip spot offers more than just distinctive decor. Guest access We are in the desert, so the whole desert is available to you (: Other things to note The space Our camp is located in the center of the protected area in the Wadi Rum desert, and offers a unique glimpse into the local Bedouin lifestyle. The camp site is equipped with 5 waterproof and windproof tents placed between the sandstone mountains and the soft red sand dunes. Each tent in our camp site has private bathroom facilities with running water. The water is heated by solar energy. We generate electricity through solar panels, and we also provide lights and power sockets to charge devices. Our chef will cook you authentic Bedouin meals, including Makloub, Kabsa, Bukhari, Biryani, and many main dishes, Arabic salads, tomatoes, and hummus. Dessert is also served. Vegetarian options are available. Let us know if you have any dietary requirements. We will spend the rest of the evening sitting around the fire to have a good conversation and tell you about Bedouin culture and traditions, past and present life, share our language with you, and sing and dance together to enjoy. Or you can stare at the starry night sky and enjoy the quiet silence of the desert. Sometimes other Bedouins from our family or friends join us, to make the atmosphere more authentic. Guest Accessibility We will pick you up from Wadi Rum village and take you to our tents in the desert. You'll be surrounded by stunning mountains and beautiful sunsets. Other Things to Note Our camp is the perfect starting point for all activities and tours Possible: - Jeep Tour: The Jeep Tour allows you to visit the best locations in Wadi Rum with a great balance between driving, stopping and spending time everywhere. In every spot you have the opportunity to hike, climb and explore in your own way and in your own time. At the end of the full-day tour, we will take you to the best place to watch the sunset. A half-day tour is also available. - Camel riding: For the Bedouins, the camel is the gift of God. These "ships of the desert" have been used for thousands of years as a primary means of transportation. So it's an important part of our history. We recommend camel riding as an eco-friendly way to explore the desert. - Hiking: Explore the Wadi Rum desert on foot with experienced Bedouin guides. We will show you some of the best secret and least visited sites in Wadi Rum as well as the best tourist attractions. You have the choice between hiking for one day, or hiking for several days and sleeping in caves along the way. Rock climbing, sandboarding, horse riding, and we can arrange any kind of experience you want. It is possible to book and pay for these tours upon arrival (please note that there are no ATMs in Wadi Rum and we cannot accept cards). If you're looking for an unforgettable, wild and 100% original Bedouin experience, you can join us to sleep in caves under the stars. Even now, as in the past, Bedouins still sleep in the middle of the desert in caves, proud of their lifestyle.
