Shepherd's Hut under shady pines, Jurassic Coast

Under shady pine trees, on the Devon, Dorset and Somerset borders, surrounded by birdsong, views of trees, and glimpses of the friendly, pet sheep on the hillside. Just 7 miles from the beautiful Jurassic Coast. Simple luxury in this tiny home, with cosy bed, woodburner, hot shower and flushing loo. The kitchenette has a full-size oven, fridge and mini freezer, Belfast sink and gas hob. Additional outdoor cooking on BBQ and woodfired cooking pot/ fire pit, to sit out under the stars. The space The shepherd's hut has a kitchenette in the main room, complete with full oven, 2 gas rings, Belfast sink, kettle, microwave and toaster. A woodburner and double bed in a cosy nook. It is insulated with wool, to keep warm and cool, and beautifully crafted inside and out with oak panelling, painted with farrow and ball. There's plenty of storage and a pull out table hidden under the bed. The bathroom has a flushing loo and hot shower. There is no WiFi or TV, so perfect for a tranquil rest. Most phones have signals here if needed. You can watch the birds, bats at night and sheep grazing in the distance. Merlin app is great for identifying birdsong! Guest access The whole shepherd's hut and former chicken paddock is exclusive to the shepherd's hut. You can walk in the fields, stroke the friendly sheep and jump on the trampoline. The fields are shared with my family and other guests.
