Cosy Cottage in the mountains

The Troadkasten is an old granary, a traditionally built house, which we have lovingly transformed into a cozy chalet. The cottage is located directly on our organic mountain farm at 1100 m above sea level and can accommodate up to 6 people. Your retreat for a quiet break or starting point for hikes and excursions in the Almenland Nature Park in Styria. Dogs are welcome. Chickens, cats and farm dog Luna run freely around the farm. The space You lack nothing - here you will find cottage romance AND modern comfort. You can heat the fireplace in the living room, or turn on the central heating (local heat from our wood chip heating). In the bathroom and kitchen there is underfloor heating, the living room and bedroom have radiators. The kitchen is well equipped, pots, dishes, appliances, free-standing refrigerator with 3 freezer compartments, microwave, blender. There are also the most important spices, oil, vinegar, tea, coffee, dish towels available. Bed linens, bath towels, toilet paper and cleaning accessories, washing machine with washing powder, are available. In the Troadkasten you can enjoy free Wi-Fi, in the bedroom there is SatTV. Guest access The Troadkasten is located directly on the farm, but is used by you alone. You can park right in front of or next to the chalet. On request, we can provide you with our gas grill. Other things to note Since our farm is located on the mountain, good winter tires are absolutely necessary in winter. By the way, winter tires are legally mandatory from November to April. If your car does not have four-wheel drive, snow chains must be carried! Children up to 10 years of age stay in the Troadkasten for free. Therefore, please only indicate the number of people over 10 years of age when making a booking request. Please inform us whether and how many children are traveling with you and at what age, as well as whether they prefer to sleep in the bedroom with their parents (2 single beds) or in the mattress camp in the anteroom of the upper floor (2 mattresses on the floor, stair guard available). We can provide a travel crib, high chair, stool for the bathroom, baby bath, anti-slip mat for the shower. In summer, the kids can use our large trampoline as well as a small sand pit and farm vehicles. There is also a ping pong table and a badminton set. For rainy days, Duplo Lego, a wooden train, Gravitrax, board and card games are available.
