Cosy Cottage in the mountains

The Troadkasten is an old granary, a traditionally built house, which we have lovingly transformed into a cozy chalet. The cottage is located directly on our organic mountain farm at 1100 m above sea level and can accommodate up to 6 people. Your retreat for a quiet break or starting point for hikes and excursions in the Almenland Nature Park in Styria. Dogs are welcome. Chickens, cats and farm dog Luna run freely around the farm. The space There is nothing missing - here you will find cabin romance AND modern comfort. You can heat the fireplace in the living room, or turn on the central heating (local heat from our wood chip heating). In the bathroom and kitchen there is underfloor heating, the living room and bedroom have radiators. The kitchen is well equipped, pots, dishes, appliances, freestanding fridge with 3 freezer compartments, microwave, blender. The main spices, oil, vinegar, tea, coffee, dish towels are also provided. Bed linen, bath towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies, washing machine with washing powder, are available. In the troadbox you can enjoy free Wi-Fi, in the bedroom there is SatTV. Guest access The Troadkasten is located directly on the farm, but is used by you alone. You can park right in front of or next to the chalet. On request, we can provide you with our gas grill. Other things to note Since our farm is located on the mountain, good winter tires are absolutely required in winter. From November to April, winter tires are legally mandatory. If your car does not have a four-wheel drive, snow chains must be carried! Children up to 10 years old stay in the Troadkasten for free. Please only indicate the number of people over 10 years of age in the booking request. Please let us know if and how many children at what age are traveling, as well as whether they prefer to sleep in the bedroom with the parents (2 single beds) or at the mattress storage in the anteroom of the upper floor (2 mattresses on the floor, stair gates available). We can provide travel crib, high chair, bathroom sticker, baby bath, anti-slip mat for the shower. The kids can use our large trampoline as well as a small sand mussel and farmer's cars in summer. There is also a ping pong table and a feather ball set. For rainy days, Duplo Lego, a wooden railway, gravitrax, board and card games are available.
