The space Raventale Retreat is a beautiful rancher-style, ocean-view suite set on our peaceful 2-acre property, offering privacy, space, and a true West Coast atmosphere. With its own formal front entry, the suite feels like a quiet, private home from the moment you arrive. Inside, enjoy a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, heated floors, and open, light-filled living spaces designed for comfort and relaxation. Step outside to your private patio, perfect for morning coffee, slow afternoons, and sunsets over the landscape. A scenic beach walk is just a short distance from our driveway. Within a 5–10 minute drive, you can be enjoying fresh local oysters at the world-famous Fanny Bay Inn, or boarding the cable ferry to explore Denman Island and Hornby Island. Whether your stay includes nature exploration, charming small towns, wineries, distilleries, craft breweries, or you’re a food lover eager to experience BC’s renowned seafood and organic farm offerings, Raventale Retreat offers easy access to it all. For outdoor enthusiasts, Mount Washington Alpine Resort is within a 45-minute drive, and activities such as sport fishing, sailing, kayaking, beachcombing, wildlife watching, and relaxing spa experiences including hydrotherapy walks are all close at hand. We’re happy to share local recommendations or help with reservations, and can also arrange local treats in the suite for your arrival (market pricing applies). Pets are welcome with a small cleaning deposit. We love our home, our neighbourhood, and Vancouver Island, and we believe that after your stay at Raventale Retreat, you will too. Guest access Your suite is fully self-contained and completely private, with its own entrance and independent living space. A short walk from the parking area along a garden path brings you to your front door, setting the tone for a relaxed and unrushed stay. Outside, enjoy a spacious private patio and access to the south-east lawn, an open, sun-filled space ideal for yoga, quiet reflection, or gentle play. Whether it’s badminton, frisbee, or a lighthearted game of tag, the space invites movement, laughter, and ease. Other things to note Important Information for a Comfortable Stay Your suite is fully private and self-contained, featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom includes a walk-in shower, and the other offers a tub with shower, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring Vancouver Island. The suite is equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans for year-round comfort. For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, the property has a full security system with exterior security cameras only. There are no cameras inside the suite or private guest areas. Raventale Retreat is a non-smoking property, both inside and outside the suite. We are located on a septic system, which is delicate. We kindly ask that no foreign objects be flushed or disposed of in sinks or toilets. To support our Island’s environmental values, we provide clearly marked recycling bins for glass, tins, cans, and paper, as well as composting for organic items. Traveling With Pets We love welcoming well-behaved pets. A $75 pet cleaning fee per pet applies. If you have any questions about pet guidelines or suitability, please don’t hesitate to reach out before booking. All pets must be on leash at all times while on the property. Raventale Retreat is surrounded by nature and local wildlife, including Bald Eagles, hawks, ravens, and larger animals such as deer, rabbits, otters, raccoons, and mink. These are wild animals, and leashes are required for everyone’s safety. You can learn more about local wildlife through Wildlife BC. We also have a dog on the property.
