Located in the quiet hamlet of Oldshoremore, with views to the Aisir Loch from the bedroom. Cosy studio style lounge with wood burning stove and well equipped kitchenette in the same room, 1 upstairs bedroom with stunning views, downstairs shower room and underfloor heating. Ceilings are low so over 6ft 2’’ so you’ll need to duck (although the full ceiling height is 6ft 8" allowing for some headspace), as you’d expect in a 1.5 story Croft House. The space A beautiful holiday home set in a stunning location in Oldshoremore in the Scottish Highlands. The perfect base, whether you’re looking for a romantic hideaway, an active break, or a solo getaway. Situated just off the popular NC500 route, the annex benefits from its location, away from other properties. The nearest shop, hotel and restaurant can be found a brief 2 mile car journey south in to nearby Kinlochbervie. Comfy sofa and a woodburning stove complete the warm, inviting feel of the home. The north-west coast is arguably the most stunning location in the Scottish mainland. The bays of Oldshoremore, Polin, Sheigra and Sandwood provide the nearby beauty spots. More practically, the local village of Kinlochbervie provides local amenities, including a Grocery Shop selling homely essentials, brimming with the feel and charm of an old fishing village. Further afield you’ll find plenty to do and see. For the active members of the group, there are numerous walking trails and hill climbs to be traversed, along with sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and even a zip slide in Durness! If you’d like to partake in something more relaxing, there are sightseeing tours by road or boat available in Kylesku, along with some lovely restaurants and of course the most scenic beaches. .......Sip wine outside on the private bench. .......Spot deer in the croft next door. .......View the Northern Lights from the bedroom in Winter. The site is not suitable for children under 12 and in addition we have a number of returning guests who have serious allergies so we are unable to accept any animals. As an original 1852 Croft house, please be aware the ceilings are very low so you need to watch your head if you’re over 6ft 2in. If you’re looking for a huge spacious cottage, this isn’t for you, it’s small but with beautiful views of the loch from the bedroom. Guest access The neighbourhood is beautiful and unspoilt, we are only a 10 minute walk to the Oldshoremore beach or 2 minutes in the car. We are also close to 3 more beaches that are breath taking at Sheigra, Polin and the stunning Sandwood. Other things to note Please note check in is between 4-6pm but we can make arrangements outside of this time frame and up until 10pm but unfortunately no later. We have a lovey craft shop of local artisans work on site so please call in and meet the makers.
