The space The Altstadt-Loft is a self-contained accommodation for 1–4 guests in the heart of the historic old town of Bacharach. It is particularly suitable for couples, small families and friends who want to stay centrally and discover the Upper Middle Rhine Valley from a fixed starting point. The loft includes an open-plan living and dining area with a kitchen, a separate bedroom, an open gallery with an additional sleeping area and a bathroom. The half-timbered character and the view towards Stahleck Castle create a special old-town ambience. The open gallery can be reached via a steep wooden staircase and is therefore only partially suitable for small children and people with reduced mobility. A special perk is located directly in the building: The Bacchus Traveller Hub, accessible 24 hours a day, offers chilled drinks, snacks, selected travel supplies as well as digital information and inspiration for Bacharach and the Upper Middle Rhine Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site. The self-service area is shared or publicly accessible and is not an exclusive part of the loft. The Rhine promenade, train station, boat dock, restaurants, wine bars and the RheinBurgenWeg are within easy walking distance. From Bacharach, you can easily combine castles, wine towns, hiking trails, boat trips and excursions to the Lorelei, Bingen, Rüdesheim, Oberwesel or St. Goar. Guest access You have exclusive use of the Altstadt-Loft. This includes the living and dining area with kitchen, the separate bedroom, the open gallery with an additional sleeping area, and the bathroom. The loft is an independent unit within Altstadtquartier 16. Other rooms in the second unit are not part of this booking and are not accessible. Access is via a historic, very narrow alley and then via the shared staircase of the half-timbered house. This access situation, typical of the medieval old town of Bacharach, is part of the special character of the accommodation. The open sleeping gallery can be reached via a steep wooden staircase and is therefore only partially suitable for small children and people with reduced mobility. The Bacchus Traveler Hub is located in a separate, communal or publicly accessible area on the ground floor of the same building. The location is very central and atmospheric, but at the same time, some of the alleys and access roads in the old town are narrow. The train station, Rhine promenade, restaurants, wine bars, and boat docks are all within easy walking distance. If you are traveling with a larger group, Altstadtquartier 16 can also be booked as an entire apartment for up to 16 people.
