The space NILA is a spacious independent duplex villa of over 4,000 sq. ft., your perfect slow-living escape in the lush foothills of Kerala. The first floor features three private rooms of which two are open to guests for long stays, while the host—a warm North Indian settled in Kerala—lives on the ground floor with two friendly pets. Set in a peaceful neighborhood surrounded by rubber and tapioca plantations, the area is calm and safe for long walks, with almost no stray animals. The weather is pleasant year-round; monsoons (April–September) bring cool, green charm without waterlogging. Daily essentials are close at hand: eateries, grocery stores, supermarkets, and salons lie within 1 km, while movie theatres, pet care, fashion, jewelry, and home essentials are just 3–4 km away. Food delivery and local services are easily available. It offers a simple yet restful base to share Kerala’s calm foothills and nearby city comforts. Minimum stay is 1 month and a maximum of 6 months. Guest access Enjoy access to fully equipped open kitchen on enclosed covered terrace with dining and lounging area. A wooden partition separates the kitchen area from laundry area with washing machine and drying rack, rack with exercise equipment and cleaning and washing essentials. An elegant sideboard in the hallway serves as a kitchenette with electric kettle cum steamer and a pop up toaster a a mini library - bookshelves covering almost an entire wall with 100 + books and other reading material. During your stay The host respects your privacy and hers but occasional chats on shared topics of interest are welcome. The two friendly pets Zara (a shitzu) and Sheena (a beagle) keep the house cheerful and are restricted to the host area though sometimes try to sneak into guest area but rest assured they are lovely 'people'.
