The space Tucked away the Valley of The River Usk in Brecon Beacons National Park, this beautiful 1880s former detached Gamekeeper’s cottage offers a unique blend of history, comfort, and natural beauty. Located just a 7 minute drive away from Abergavenny access us via a private yet steep downward driveway just off from the main road with parking for at least three cars with an type 2 EV charger available too. The cottage provides the perfect escape just moments from the banks of the River Usk—a favourite spot for fishing and riverside walks. To the front of the cottage, a wild south facing garden brims with character and charm, leading to a lovely outdoor dining area with seating for six. From here, you can enjoy views across the open field that borders the river—perfect for al fresco meals, morning coffee, or simply soaking in the tranquil surroundings. Inside, the heart of the home is a stylish country kitchen, fully equipped for a self-catering stay. It features an electric oven and gas hob, under-counter fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster, and microwave—everything you need to feel right at home. The kitchen flows into a warm and inviting living/dining room, complete with two comfortable three-seater sofas, a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings, and a dining table that seats six. Downstairs also includes a modern wet room with a walk-in shower, plus a separate WC for added convenience. We can also provide a basket of kiln dried logs, kindling, fire starters and matches for the log burner for an additional 20gbp per basket. Upstairs, the cottage offers three bedrooms, all facing the front to make the most of the scenic views. The spacious main bedroom features a king-size bed and a luxurious en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower and a separate bathtub—ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed, while the third, smaller bedroom is perfect for children, with a sturdy bunk bed. Guest access This home is private and is set up as a 3-bedroom guest house. Access to the cottage is via a steep semi-surfaced drive that may not be suitable for low suspension cars. Other things to note ‼️ There is a steep downward drive leading down to the cottage from the A40 which may not be suitable for some lower suspension cars. 🚗 Parking: Our home has a private driveway for parking at least 3 cars. 🔥 We can provide a basket of kiln dried logs, kindling, fire starters and matches for the log burner for an additional £20 per basket. 🐕 Up to 2-pets are welcome but we do charge an additional £15 per night per pet. This charge has not been included in the price of your booking and will be requested prior to check-in. 🚗 There is a Type 2 EV charger by the drive which can be used for a fixed £20 per time - please message us if you wish to use this so we can arrange payment. 💆‍♀️We can also put you in touch with a fantastic local beauty therapist who offers mobile massages.
