Experience authentic Svaneti living at Koshkebi Tower Cottages in Ushguli. Our two-floor wooden cottages, inspired by traditional Svan towers, combine heritage with modern comfort. The first floor has a cosy living area, kitchen essentials, fridge, bathroom, single bed and sofa. The second offers a double and single bed with tower-style windows and stunning views of the Caucasus and Ushguli’s ancient towers, plus a glass-wall corner overlooking Murkmeli, the oldest settlement in Ushguli. The space Our unique two-floor cottages, shaped like traditional Svan towers, blend cultural heritage with modern comfort. Built in the authentic style—wider at the base and narrower at the top—they feature traditional windows and a roof made of specially crafted wooden planks known as Kavari, the classic Svan roofing method. 🪟 The first floor includes a cosy living area, kitchen essentials, fridge, a bathroom with a shower, a single bed, and a fold-out sofa. The second floor offers one double and one single bed, with tower-style windows showcasing breathtaking views of the Caucasus and Ushguli’s ancient towers. 🚿 The bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin, toilet, washbasin, soap, and hair dryer. The kitchen essentials are designed for simple cooking and coffee or tea preparation. 🍺 Under the stairs, guests will find a bar fridge stocked with beverages (beer, cola, water). A price list is displayed on the fridge. Guests are welcome to enjoy the drinks, and payment for consumed items can be settled at checkout. 🥘 We offer a locally prepared food delivery service. Guests can scan a QR code (attached to the fridge and kitchen table), which will open the food menu with relevant ordering and delivery instructions. 🪜 Don’t be surprised by the unusual staircase—it was built in the same way as traditional Svan towers: small wooden steps carved into a single pole, ending with a narrow slit leading to the next floor, just as locals once used to climb their towers. 🏔 A glass-wall corner extending across both floors overlooks Murkmeli, Ushguli’s oldest settlement, revealing ancient towers and stone houses that connect you to the village’s rich past. 🔥 Guests can also enjoy our yard with a fire pit and seating area—the perfect spot to relax after exploring the Svanetian mountains.
