The Baltic seaside resort of Mönchgut is a great starting point for numerous hikes and walks. The Mönchgut visitor's card offers excellent services. The Middelhagen spa administration is only a few kilometers away (e.g. for the purchase of fishing tickets and information). Good to know: You will find the visitor's cards already prepared in the apartment upon arrival. The special thing about the Haus Wald am Meer is the large natural forest property (about 18,000 m²). Here, deer, hares, bats and many forest dwellers can be observed when watching closely, and a tennis court is definitely not available! Depending on the season, there is always a lot to discover. The small thatched house Rotbuche is located behind the main house Wald am Meer in Mariendorf. On the ground floor of our space miracle Rotbuche there is a cozy living and dining area with a small kitchenette and a bathroom with toilet and shower. Upstairs, the thatched house is equipped with two bedrooms and a small toilet. In front of the house entrance is a small, covered terrace. Please note that the thatched house has a limited ceiling height of 2 m. Coming soon: From March 25, 2024, the Haus Wald am Meer and the Reethus Rotbuche will have a sauna hut on the forest property.
