A spacious house in beautiful surroundings by the fjord, at the historic site Skjerstad, 60 min drive from Bodø airport, 30 min from the Coastal main route and Saltstraumen, the world´s strongest tidal current. The house is ideal for relaxation, holidays, creative work. Roomy house (12 beds) with modern facilitites. Fishing, hiking. Foodstores at Saltstraumen or Misvær. Beautiful garden area, campfire and lots of space for groups or families with children. Nearby area with ancient Viking sites. The space Doctor´s residence is located by the sea at beautiful Skjerstad, Norway. Distance from Bodø town 60 km, 30 km from the famous Saltstraumen maelstrom. The roomy house is built in 1910 and has been refurbished 2006 - 2016. Boat available for fishing. It´s also possible to fish from the land side at the peninsula islet nearby. In winter you can go skiing at Vestvatn Alpinsenter (33 min drive) and Beiarfjellet (40 min drive). Guest access Access to inhouse free wireless internet, TV. Access to spacy garden and verandas. Boathouse available down by the sea. Other things to note The house is always cleaned properly and ready for the guests arrival. There is no cleaning service in the area and we charge a fee of 120 EUR for washing services.
