Guest access Casa Atena is located in a village called Megalo Metochi only 4 kilometers from the city of Rethymno. Megalo Metochi is a peaceful and picturesque village just a few minutes’ drive from the heart of Rethymno, Crete. Often called the “Ekali of Rethymno” for its scenic beauty and charm, it offers a perfect balance between serene countryside living and quick access to the island’s vibrant culture. Surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves, and panoramic views, the village is an ideal base for exploring Crete’s historic sites, beaches, and authentic tavernas. Here you can enjoy quiet mornings with the sound of nature, then head into Rethymno’s Old Town to wander its Venetian alleys, discover local shops, and savor fresh Cretan cuisine. From there, drive 700 meters along the main road — the villa will be on your right-hand side.
