Peaceful Getaways at River Edge, On the Flat River

The entire house is available for a COUPLE to enjoy a getaway or for 1-4 ADULT guests who are in the area for work, visiting family/ friends, traveling through or vacationing in the Lowell or Grand Rapids area. Our cozy, 3 bedroom, 1880's farm house is the perfect place to enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful natural setting surrounded by forests and prairie grasses on the Flat River just a mile from the quaint town of Lowell. We have welcomed guests since 2013. The space PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BEFORE RESERVING: Please feel free to message us with any questions about stays at our River Edge Guest House. *No added cleaning fee* We appreciate all of our guests that have stayed with us over the years, but for everyone's best possible experiences we need to reitterate the following policy: -No vaping or smoking in or near the house. -No marijuana products may be brought on the property. We accommodate adult guests only. We are located on the Flat River and due to obvious water hazards, and for the wellbeing of our guests must limit our stays to adults only. Glass antiques and artifacts are also an adult featured theme in the home , but unfortunately are considered unsafe for guests under 18 years of age including children, toddlers and infants.” MAIN FLOOR- -Our guests favorite room is the main floor Master Bedroom (with queen size bed) which walks directly into its own bathroom (with shower/bath tub combo unit). Opposite the bathroom is a three season porch making a lovely extension of the master bedroom. -The living room has its own cozy feel with an electric fireplace and flat screen TV for evening entertainment and a beautiful scenic view of the river. -Our craftsman style kitchen with an original porcelain-cast iron sink with drain board gives visitors a 1930’s era feel. -A microwave for warming pre-cooked foods, refrigerator for your snacks, and Keurig with coffees, teas and hot cocoa are available to enjoy during your entire stay. -The adjacent dining room, has it's original pine flooring, and has been tastefully restored with cherry wainscot paneling made from lumber taken off our own property! UPSTAIRS/SECOND FLOOR- -The upstairs North Bedroom (with two twin beds) and South Bedroom (with a full bed) are available when you reserve for more than 2 guests or if you need separate rooms for a friends getaway. -There is a half bath upstairs and the main floor full bathroom may also be accessed through the living room. PLEASE NOTE: -Due to insurance requirements, guests may not use our washer, dryer or stove. -No cooking or food preparation is permitted by guests. No portable grills or fire pits may be utilized on the property. -Reservation is for 1-4 ADULT guests only (no children or infants due to antiques that decorate the home). Guests may not invite others to the home or property during their stay. -All guests staying must be reserved with the initial reservation. There is a per person guest fee added for more than 2 guests. -When making a reservation, all guests are agreeing that they will abide by our River Edge policies and rules. -If you would like to check in before 3 pm or check out after 11 am, please consider reserving a 2nd night. -No vaping or smoking in or near the house. This includes the porch and mudroom. -No marijuana products may be brought onto or used on our property. -No parties in the house or on the property allowed. Weddings, including elopements, small or intimate weddings may not be reserved through Airbnb. -No pets. -No hunting allowed. -Guests may not park or drive on the grass. Driveway may be accessed by cars and light trucks only. Guest access We live next door. Our home is just beyond the pine tree forest, and we are available if you need anything during your stay.
