Combining the peace and quiet of a rural farm setting in beautiful Devonshire with Dartmoor National Park and Lydford Gorge close by make our quintessential hut the place to stay. A wood burner and heating make this the ultimate year round escape. While we transport your luggage you can walk along the path to your own hideaway in a meadow surrounded by native woodland and far reaching views through the valley. Peace and quiet awaits............(& cake of course… The space Ramson Shepherd’s Hut comprises a fully equipped hand made kitchen, shower room with sink, flushing toilet and heated towel rail. King size bed, wood burning stove and heating (making your stay cosy at any time of year). Gas oven, fridge with ice box. Linen and towels provided. Outside there is a wood fired hot tub for two and an outdoor shower, bbq/firepit, table and chairs. Blankets, complimentary wood basket. Milk, tea and coffee and Foxcombe Bakehouse treats. As a farming family it is very important to us that we support the local community and that is something we have emulated in the hut. The hut is made in Dorset and many of the items you will see have been made locally. NOTE: if you can’t find the dates of your choice we have three other huts, Buttercup, Honeysuckle and Cowslip Shepherd’s Hut. Wood fired Pizza Oven available to hire either on its own or with ingredients for two pizzas. Wood pellets provided. See additional photos for more information.
