Drovers Hill at Stonor Park, Quercus & Redwood
Description
Escape to the heart of the countryside with a stay in our two beautifully crafted shepherd’s huts, nestled within the stunning grounds of Stonor Park. Ideal for two couples or friends, each hut sleeps two adults and offers peace, privacy, and a touch of rustic luxury. The space One hut features a romantic king-size four-poster bed, while the other offers a cosy standard king-size bed. Both huts include a well-equipped kitchen, a private bathroom with hot shower and flushing toilet, and a log burner to keep you snug on cooler nights. Step outside to enjoy the fire pits under the stars, sip your morning coffee with birdsong, and soak in the unspoiled beauty of the surrounding parkland. (Logs not included) During your stay, you’re welcome to explore the Stonor Estate, with its miles of scenic walks and stunning countryside. Be sure to visit the on-site café, where an Italian chef prepares delicious meals—perfect for takeaway dinners to enjoy back at the huts. Please note the cafe is only open during the summer season. From July to September, guests can also enjoy access (at an additional cost) to a pop-up spa located on the shepherd’s hut site. The spa includes an ice bath, sauna, and massage treatments, offering a unique chance to unwind in nature. Please note: the spa is a temporary facility and may be used by members of the public. Spa sessions must be booked in advance. Time your visit with one of the many events at Stonor, from food festivals and outdoor cinema nights to vintage fairs and family-friendly days. Whether you're exploring, relaxing, or reconnecting with friends, our shepherd’s huts offer a unique and memorable countryside escape. One hut features a romantic king-size four-poster bed, while the other offers a cosy standard king-size bed. Both huts include a well-equipped kitchen, a private bathroom with shower and toilet and a log burner. Please note that the shepherd’s hut is located in a rural area so WiFi can be intermittent and is not always strong. We therefore do not recommend it as a suitable space for remote working. Make the most of your stay and enjoy free entry Stonor House and gardens! When you stay at our luxury Drovers' Huts, you are treated to more than just a peaceful valley retreat. Guests can wander down the hillside path to enjoy a complimentary visit to the historic Stonor Park & Gardens. Explore 850 years of history, home to Stonor family for over 850 years, Stonor Park is one of the oldest homes still lived in today. As well as being architecturally fascinating, the house contains a fine collection of furniture, paintings and bronzes. The stunning gardens first planted in the 15th century are a treat to explore, with the vistas of the surrounding ancient deer park beyond. During your visit, be sure to step into The Pantry, located right inside our historic 13th-century Hall. It is the perfect spot to relax with a traditional fresh scone, clotted cream, and jam. Before you leave, browse our gift shop for a lasting memory of your stay. The shop is packed with unique local treasures, including our very own Stonor Honey and Stonor Apple Juice, pressed from Old English heirloom apples grown right in our walled garden.
