The Old School House

The Old School House is situated on high ground overlooking Montrose with stunning views across to the Angus Glens and Scurdieness Lighthouse. It is a historic Georgian B listed property with original features. It has been modernised and provides spacious, comfortable accommodation for up to 10 guests and two pets. Nearby there are beautiful beaches, country walks and open fields and sea views. Golf courses, fishing, hillwalking, castles and Montrose Basin Visitor Centre are all close by. The space The Old Schoolhouse has 4 bedrooms: Bedroom 1 is upstairs and has a king size bed as well as an ensuite with shower over a bath, toilet and sink. Bedroom 2 is upstairs with a double bed and ample clothes storage. Bedroom 4 has 4 full size, single beds built as a double bunk bed with convenient stairs in the middle. Again, ample clothes storage. The family bathroom is also upstairs with shower over a bath, toilet and sink. There are incredible views from all the upstairs windows. Th house has traditional internal shutters that are brilliant at shutting out the light for a peaceful night's sleep during the long summer evenings and early mornings. Bedroom 3 is downstairs and has a double bed, dressing table and wardrobe with charming views out to the back garden and the fields beyond. The living room has a woodburner and fire guard and a spacious sofa and TV to relax in. The dining area has a large table that can be extended and the WC leads off from this room. Bedroom 4 can also be accessed from the area. The kitchen is fully equipped and has easy access to the utility and back door to the garden. The kitchen has all the usual appliances plus an air fryer and cafetiere. There is WIFI at the house. The back garden has a patio area that is perfect for alfresco dining and plenty of space for children or dogs to play. There is also a parking place by the side of the house for up to 3 cars. Guest access Whole house and rear garden for guests private use. Other things to note Please note there is no downstairs shower/bath.
