French Creek Ranch

5 BR, 3 bath. Located on French Creek, a secluded 52 acres at the mouth of a canyon. Sleeps 17-19. Our trail goes to White Cloud Mountains. Near the Salmon River. A scenic 1/2 hour drive from Stanley and the Sawtooth Mountains. Rafting, hiking, biking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, lakes, and ghost towns nearby. Large separate fam./rec. building with ping pong, games, and relaxing. A pavilion with picnic and serving tables, and a large 6 burner griddle. Enjoy! Great for reunions or just 2! The space This is a great place for either 2 people or for a Family Reunion! It can sleep up to 19 people inside the house and game building. (There are 3 additional twin mattresses that you can use if you bring sleeping bags) There is a SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY to include more family and friends who would like to bring their own RV or tents to sites near the house for an additional charge for those sites. HUNTERS ARE WELCOME! For larger Reunions, there is also a RV to rent, and sites for tents and RV's (for additional fee). Talk to host for more information. Children under 6 are free! Pets by property owners permission! This is a secluded ranch surrounded by beautiful mountains, the Salmon River, and a creek that runs through it. And to make you feel in the wilderness, we also have an unusual outhouse near the large game "building". (2 full baths in the house and 1 full bath with 2 showers and two sinks in the game building). Hiking and mountain biking from the ranch house up beautiful French Creek is a great adventure! Unique attractions, including Redfish Lake, Stanley, and Bayhorse lakes are just over a half hour away. There are also ghost towns, hot springs, and ATV trails. There is fishing for Salmon, Steelhead, and Trout, and a pond 5 minutes away that is stocked by the Fish and Game! There’s a wide variety of animals and birds, including Elk, Deer, Bear, Wolves, Wild Horses, Mountain Lions, Mountain Goats, Bighorn Sheep, Antelope, and Moose to name a few! Many birds can be seen here including Golden and Bald Eagles, Osprey, the state Bluebird along the Salmon River and many streams. Information for horseback riding, Salmon River rafting, and ATV rentals, fishing guides, etc. are available. The newly designated wilderness in the White Cloud Mountains, near the ranch, have over 40 high mountain lakes, some higher than the tallest mountain peaks of the Sawtooth Mountains! The small mining town of Clayton (pop. 7), was once owned by Henry Ford, and they have an outstanding museum and the site of the smelter. Henry Ford used the lead, a bi-product of the silver, for batteries for his early cars. The fameous Sun Valley is a premier scenic drive only 1 1/2 hour from here. Bring your whole family, or it can be just a cozy place for even 2 to get away for peace and quiet! If you rent the Ranch House and the 2-bedroom RV, then you have access to the entire 52 acre ranch. No one else will be allowed on the ranch but you! Other things to note If you are used to noise, you'll be very disappointed! (Except for the creek that runs through it.)
