Casa Opris, Breb 418 - ROOM 1

The house has 4 rooms, in summer 2019 we have started listing each room separately. At Casa Opris you will feel how it is to live with an authentic Romanian family from Maramures. Expect to be welcomed with home made bread, a big smile and an open heart. The space Your host, Mr & Mrs Opris, have rebuilt with their own hands a 70 years old traditional wooden house. Tanti Lenuta will cook for you upon request the most delicious traditional food, while Nea Ion will for sure keep you entertained with the local brandy "horincă". The food they serve is 100% sourced from their own little farm. Breb is a fairytale land. Here you will find traditions kept alive as they used to be long time ago. If you are looking to get an in depth feeling about villagers life, about their customs and traditions, then Casa Opris is the place to go to. Mr and Mrs Opris have lived here all their life and for them living a self sustainable life has always been the way to do it. They have a little farm with cows, pigs, chickens and vegetables and in the backyard, in a beautiful orchard, they have rebuilt an old traditional wooden house. The house has 4 bedrooms with private bathrooms and amazing views of the surroundings. All the decorations in the house are handmade by your host - the carpets, the "stergare" on the walls, even the curtains. Here, you will hear nothing but the crickets in the night and the scythe during the day. Tanti Lenuta is the most amazing chef the village can have (and everybody agrees with that!). She is making delicious cheese, sour cream, pies, bread and all sorts of traditional food that you will for sure love. Guest access The house is small and cozy, with 2 bedrooms on each level. There is no common area, but outside there is a wooden pavilion where meals are served. From their yard if you go to the left, you can start exploring the charming village, or if you are a nature lover, just take the right and get lost in magical hay fields accompanied by dragonflies, butterflies and birds songs. During your stay I, Roxana, am not the owner of the house but I feel like part of their family. I came here for the first time a couple of years ago for 1 night and ended up staying 3. Since then, I come back here every summer for long periods of time. As they have never been too much in contact with the internet, I wanted to help Opris family with their bookings and have set up their AirBnb page. Mr and Mrs Opris are always home, happy to serve your needs. Please note that the hosts, Mr and Mrs Opris do not speak English, but their son Ionut speaks French. I know this might sound a bit challenging, but their hospitality will definitely break any language barrier. Food costs 100lei/person for dinner + breakfast (night of arrival and morning after); 3. In the triple rooms, the extra bed (3rd one) costs 50lei/night. 4. Children under 2 do not pay; 5. This is a quiet place, if coming with kids, please do respect other guests intimacy 6. Because on AirBnb we cannot list multiple rooms, please contact us even if it all seems to be blocked; 7. For single bookings (1 person) the price is the same: 100lei/night.
