The vacation rental is located in the south-facing barn of the former farm in Kröte No. 5. Newly built and equipped according to building biology criteria and materials. The location on the outskirts, directly on the conservation area, guarantees a high recreational value. All living rooms and bedrooms offer a unique view of the unobstructed landscape through a fully glazed exterior wall. The space The village of Kröte is located in the west of the district of Lüchow-Dannenberg, a few kilometers south of the federal highway B 493 (Lüchow-Uelzen). Here are the first slopes of the so-called Hohes Drawehn. The landscape is slightly curved and wooded. Around the village there are meadows, fields and wooded areas. This idyllic setting invites you to take relaxing bike rides and long walks. The village itself consists of approx. 10 houses and was formerly a so-called small round village. From Kröte you can reach the district towns of Lüchow or Uelzen with all shopping facilities, doctors, offices and schools and a wide range of leisure activities in about 20 minutes by car. A forest bathing area is located in the nearby village of Wittfeitzen. Every year, a pair of cranes nest nearby, which can be observed again and again in the fields and through its impressive mating calls lets you feel the uniqueness of nature. The secluded location in the quiet, rural surroundings with a magnificent view and a comfortably equipped apartment offers the opportunity to unwind, relax and approach everyday life more calmly. Other things to note A trip to the Elbe and the half-timbered towns of Hitzacker, Lüchow, Dannenberg or Salzwedel is worthwhile in any weather. In Uelzen there is the Hundertwasser train station and on Wednesdays and Saturdays a large farmers market. The landlords will be happy to provide further tips for excursions, hikes, bike tours or cultural events on site.
