Description
Relax in this wooden house open to the outside and immersed in a unique and preserved natural setting. Marion & Gilles welcome you to their cottage nestled in the heart of the natural limestone circus of Saint-Paul-des-Fonts in South Aveyron. You will discover this unique site, located on the foothills of Larzac and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, just 30 minutes from the A75, 30 minutes from St Affrique and 45 minutes from Millau and its famous viaduct. The space The cottage, located close to the owners' residence but with its own completely independent entrance and gate, can ideally accommodate 4 people. It is surrounded by a private plot of about 1,500 m² with parking in front of the cottage (2 to 3 vehicles). The house, which is about 60 m² and has just been renovated, is composed of two levels: - On the ground floor (accessible via 2 steps), a living room with a kitchenette (well-equipped with new appliances), a large dining table and a living area (sofa bed and TV), completely open through a magnificent bay window onto a large wooden terrace facing southeast with a view of the surrounding vegetation and the cirque above. The shower room is on the main floor and includes a shower (small but very functional), toilet and washing machine. - UPSTAIRS, two bedrooms, one equipped with a 140 cm double bed, a sofa bed (extra bed for a child) and a small storage unit for clothes, and the other bedroom, which is rather small, equipped with a 140 cm double bed. Please note that there is no toilet or bathroom upstairs. In addition to the very pleasant atmosphere of a house made entirely of wood, experience immersion in this exceptional setting without disturbances: the cottage is located at the bottom of the village in a cul-de-sac and on the hillside in a setting of endemic vegetation, waking up to the sound of birds, views of the rocky cirque from all the openings of the house, a sky crisscrossed by griffon vultures and golden eagles in the middle of the day, the Milky Way free of light pollution... AMENITIES: Fiber optic Wi-Fi, TV, modern kitchen (induction stove, large oven, microwave, large refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, kettle, classic coffee maker without filter, toaster, and everything you need to cook and eat on site), additional electric heating, smoke detector, shutters, curtains and blackout blind, 80-cm shower, washing machine, bed linens, bath towels and dish towels provided, hair dryer, high chair for children and baby bed on request, board games and books/magazines, outdoor furniture for eating under the pergola and relaxing, gas plancha for outdoor cooking. IMPORTANT: - Electric vehicle charging prohibited on site - Upon your arrival, you will be refused access to the cottage if you bring an animal or if the number of people is greater than the number in the booking. Guest access On site, you can enjoy the entire independent house and the garden that surrounds it with its views of the rocky limestone cirque. Without taking the car, you will also enjoy visiting the bucolic village along its river and discovering the space dedicated to Hippolyte Coste, the "priest of flowers". From the cottage, equipped with your walking shoes, you can finally take the GR71C circuit which will take you directly above the village on the Larzac causse, an expanse of pastoral land as far as the eye can see and a high place of history in the footsteps of the Templars and Hospitallers. The unmissable visit to the Roquefort cellars is only a 10-minute drive away, and the surrounding area offers many activities and sites to discover (swimming, hiking, castles, villages and Templar Hospitaller cities, etc.).
