Description

Welcome to the heart of Tuscany! Maniero del Brunelleschi-Medieval Apartments Resort offers spectacular apartments with exclusive pool in the picturesque Tuscan village of Vicopisano between Pisa, Florence and Lucca. The apt. "La Stalla" will win you over for the incredible location: an ancient medieval stable finely restored will be the backdrop to your stay. You can stay within the exposed stone walls lit by antique wrought iron chandeliers and copper pots in a dip in the past! The space Ready to spend an unforgettable vacation in the heart of Tuscany? MANIERO DEL BRUNELLESCHI - Medieval Apartments Resort is waiting for you! You can live the unique experience of staying in an authentic medieval fort finely restored where Tuscan charm and modern comforts merge in 5 different thematic apartments with exclusive pool at the service of the Resort units. The Resort is located within the medieval village of Vicopisano, a Tuscan jewel where the genius of Florentine architect Filippo Brunelleschi has built the Rocca del Castello that dominates the picturesque village. Apartment La Stalla The restoration of the ancient stable has brought to life an environment of great historical value. The apartment offers a location of extraordinary and unique beauty: on the ground floor of the main building of the Maniero, overlooking the internal garden and therefore enjoys a wonderful view of the pool and the medieval walls that surround the exclusive property. The original manger has the large open space that houses the kitchen, the large living area and the living room. The skilful restoration has in fact brought it back to light, preserving its original and historic masonry and wood structure in the living area while in the kitchen area the manger has become a large worktop once favorite corner of the cattle of Maniero that could enjoy the fodder of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Sensational is the large wall on which the manger rests in the living area, recovered as it was then all in exposed stone. The very high ceilings with wooden beams are lit by large antique wrought iron chandeliers: the ceilings, as well as the floor, are made of ancient Impruneta terracotta. The Tuscan rustic masonry kitchen consists of a granilla sink, a large countertop recreated in the ancient manger and induction cooker: the refrigerator and dishwasher are located in the wooden recesses of the kitchen itself where you will also find pots, microwave, kettle, toaster and everything you need to prepare a beautiful Tuscan dinner! The entire kitchen wall is in ancient Tuscan majolica ancient ochre that surround a beautiful and ancient bronze plate depicting a moment of rural life. Above the kitchen is mastered by a wonderful antique chestnut beamed hood nestled in the large and centuries-old collection of Manor copper pots. The Mangiatoia, or the large living area, illuminated by four large light points, enjoys an evocative atmosphere. The large Tuscan table dominates the living room and the feeling of living in an ancient stable is palpable given the incredible restoration of the location that has left the entire structure of the original stable intact and the details such as the old yoke and rural harnesses embellish the living area. The living corner houses a large and comfortable leather sofa that can be transformed into a double sofa bed with a 65’’ cable and satellite TV. The large leather sofa, comfortable to enjoy the TV corner, becomes kingsofa bed if necessary to use the living room as a third room: the comfortable size of the sofa bed makes it perfect for the rest of both adults and children. Vintage furniture, an ancient bathtub and Carrara marble console finish the living area with great charm. The load-bearing wall of the apartment, today as then finished in exposed stone, still has the old vents, small openings in the wall, which used to circulate the air in the environment, given the presence of livestock. The Room of the Stalliere The room rests on the supporting wall with the old vents equipped with small wooden windows that, by circulating the air, make the environment naturally air-conditioned in summer and warm in winter given the thickness of the wall of more than one meter. The room offers a large four-poster bed made of Tuscan wood with curtains, an ancient wardrobe with a vintage dresser, an old centenary trunk, and the characteristic medieval lighting that decorates the particularly evocative environment. Finally, the room overlooks the courtyard of Maniero. The Room of Maniscalchi The room offers a large large bunk bed(195cmx85cm) in ancient fir, ideal for the stay of adults but also of children: note the realization of the detail of the security closure in typical medieval style. A large closet completes the setting full of Tuscan charm that also leads to the courtyard of the Maniero. The bathroom: The large bathroom at the service of the apartment, made of Tuscan majolicas of the Impruneta and expertly decorated, offers a large big size shower, toilet, bidet and the sink that, to add a detail of rustic Tuscan style, is made of stone on ancient sewing machine and Tuscan olive table. Each apartment also enjoys modern comforts such as Wi-Fi and Air Conditioning, air conditioning, induction stovetops, satellite and cable TV, ancient porcelain electrical outlets with rotary switches, fully equipped kitchens with refrigerator and dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board, bed and bath linen, laundry service upon request, poolside umbrella station with pool towels included. All properties of the Maniero del Brunelleschi – Medieval Apartments Resort have access to the spectacular private pool of the property with dedicated umbrella station with deck chairs/sun loungers, tech power and outdoor Wi-Fi. The common area of the Oven is at the service of all guests. Il Forno Each Maniero apartment can enjoy the historic Oven, common and passing environment for all guests to access the exclusive pool, garden and interior loggia. The Forno is a one-of-a-kind environment that we strongly wanted to maintain in its original form: in the Middle Ages the real oven, which still measures 3 meters by 3 meters, was at the service of the entire village for the production of bread. Today we wanted to pay homage to them by making it the environment reserved for our Tuscan Cooking Courses, not to mention poolside aperitifs, wine&food tastings and weekly themed dinners. The Forno is finely decorated on the ceiling with the typical harnesses of our country's rural history: imagine learning in this fantastic location how to make fresh handmade pasta, Tuscan sweets and cookies, bruschetta and much more! Adjacent to the main room of the oven is another service room – called the Castro del Poriale: once there were pigs who also had the opportunity to go out in a fenced outdoor space that today is our corner aperitifs by the pool. In the Castro you will find a large fridge in service during your pool time to make you enjoy fresh drinks directly on site, as well as a large freezer divided into departments for each apartment that you can use if you need it. The Tuscan Stone Pool Incredible, it is the only adjective that we think can describe the environment we have created for you: the large private pool, made of stone from our Pisan Mountains and surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the medieval walls of Vicopisano. Guests of the Maniero del Brunelleschi - Medieval Apartments Resort will be able to boast of having, upon return from daily excursions, the possibility of swimming in the pool in a unique context such as that of a typical Tuscan medieval village. Details and style are not even missing in the outdoor spaces of the Maniero: copper shower and the recreated foot sink with an ancient capital and a stone grinder for the entrance to the pool. Each apartment will be able to enjoy around the pool area its own umbrella station, with charging for electronic devices and outdoor Wi-Fi, as well as a relaxation area under the porch: aperitifs and dinners by the pool, musical evenings and everything that will make your holiday unforgettable! The Medieval Court and the Tuscan Garden The great main courtyard of the Maniero has been restored with the same material of the time, namely the famous Impruneta terracotta. Protected by ancient columns and the centuries-old medieval wrought iron chain, the Court embellishes the Maniero facade with character and unmistakable medieval style thanks to the medieval coats of arms that still reflect the ancient power of the then fort. The Tuscan Garden is home to a large centuries-old olive tree of indomitable beauty under which you will find the pleasure of a break on the large stone benches of the Pisan Mountains. The magic continues even in the evening when the Corte del Maniero lights up with its lighting on the medieval walls of the property: a postcard image.. unforgettable!
