The space The cottage at Julie and Franck's, formerly known as the "Apartment on the banks of the Somme canal" has a new look. Being "stayed in his juice" more than ten years, he asked for a serious refresh. For this reason we have just completely renovated the floor, the carpets have been replaced by floating parquet flooring, the walls and ceilings bleached and the furniture clean to bring modernity, freshness, brightness and comfort. The gite is located on the banks of the Canal de la Somme that you can observe from the windows of the living room. In the heart of the Valley of the Haute-Somme, between Albert (14km) and Péronne (15km), on the circuit of remembrance and battles of the Somme, in the heart of the Country of the Poppy. You can visit the historial of the Great War in Péronne and the Museum of Shelters in Albert. The property is ideally located 12 km from the Méaulte aviation hub, 11 km from Haute Picardie TGV train station and 10 km from the A1 and A29 motorways. 4 km away in the town of Bray-sur-Somme, you will find all amenities: Carrefour Contact, bakery, pharmacy, doctor, hairdresser, bank, bar/tobacco/pmu, florist, garage. Access to the cottage is from the terrace by a metal staircase of fifteen steps that gives access to the bottom of the apartment and its living room: living room, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker with electric hobs and electric oven, a dishwasher, a fridge with small freezer in its upper part, a microwave, a classic coffee maker and a Senseo coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, a cookware including frying pans, crêpe, pans, casserole, salad bowl, sieve, salad wringer and all the necessary dishes. The accommodation is heated by electric heaters and being on a cellar, the tiling of the living room can be fresh, so we recommend you provide slippers for your comfort. The 4 bedrooms, three with double beds and the last with two single beds , as well as the bathroom with toilet are located on the upper floor. A terrace is reserved for you, fenced by a fence, the rest of the land is private. We accept pets but you will have to go out on the street side to walk around and make your pets their needs done. We have two Misti cats and Sock that come and go on the entire field, and a Romy dog, American Staffordshire Terrier. The latter only comes out attached, not becauseshe is mean, but simply becauseshe is still young and excessively lively. We also ask smokers to go out. Guest access When you turn the way to the harbour, the cottage will be located in the large brick building with black aluminum carpentry on your left. Entry is through the wooden gate next to the small brick staircase. Access to the accommodation will be on your right, you will see the terrace and the staircase to take to get to the rental. The gate is a bit hard, you have to keep the left part up while pushing the right part. You will be able to take your car home while unloading your belongings but you will then have to park it in the small car park at the end of the street. Other things to note We provide bed linen, tea towels, and bath mat. On the other hand, towels are not provided and must be provided by you. Cleaning is not included in the rate, you will have to take care of it before your departure. To do this, you will find everything you need in cleaning products as well as a cyclonic motor vacuum cleaner, a "hairdresser" brush with rubber bristles and a dust collector. We provide a garbage bag and two rolls of toilet paper for you to "troubleshoot" when you arrive, if you feel that this will not be enough, you can plan for it. We will ask you to respect selective sorting, separate household waste and plastic and cardboard packaging that are to be thrown into the large container with yellow lid behind the gate. The small container is used to put your garbage bags and the small round for the glass.
