Charming village retreat just 20mins from Cambridge. A modern extension meets a traditional timber-beamed cottage, with a light-filled open plan kitchen, dining & sitting room with music area/ crafting/work desk. There is also a separate snug with open fire. Sleeps 6 across 4 bedrooms (2 doubles—1 ensuite, 2 singles) plus family bathroom. Huge garden with hot tub, sauna, pétanque, trampoline & outdoor kitchen (BBQ & pizza oven). Perfect for families or friends seeking style, space & relaxation. The space The house is a blend of 1740s traditional cottage with a large, light rear extension. The extension encompasses a large open plan sitting area, music/desk area, dining area and kitchen, there is a separate walk in pantry and utility room (dishwasher/ tumble/WM etc) with kitchen equipped with all mod cons. Just up stairs off the sitting area is a comfy snug/TV room with open fire - cozy fir colder evenings. Theres also a downstairs W/C. Bifold doors open onto a massive garden with different sections and sitting areas, hot tub, sauna, gym and pétanque court (also table tennis available). Upstairs are 4 bedrooms - 2 kingsize beds and two single rooms - as described (one en suite) and a separate family bathroom. Pampisford village is a small charming village just outside Cambridge. There are a number of parks and open spaces for walking and an “honesty” farm shop 5 minutes walk. For a Coop supermarket, pubs and restaurants/cafes, it’s a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk into Sawston (the next village). There is a bus stop just outside the door with buses to sawston, shelford and Cambridge. Whittlesford train station is a 5 minute drive with trains direct to London (50mins) or Cambridge, Saffron Waldon and Stansted Airport. Depending on your plans I can give lots of information to help you get around and plan trips. Guest access The entire space is yours except for a small downstairs study which is locked off with our inaccessible equipment etc. This is a private lived-in home, so we use the red sticker method to show you what storage you can and can’t use. We always provide plenty storage space for length of stay. Other things to note Please note that there is a very large garden with a pond, sauna, pétanque, gym, hot tub, tree house etc which can all we used at guests’ own risk (please read instructions and rules carefully.) Guests with children are asked to take particular care - the top of the garden (which houses pond/gym and sauna) is gated, but please familiarise yourself with the garden in daylight and ensure small children are accompanied. Please note that guests who would like to use the gym should email us in advance and we will provide disclaimers to sign. Otherwise we keep the gym locked for safety reasons.
