It is an attractive room with an en-suite bathroom on the first floor of Cal Guixater. The staircase to the first floor is accessible, spacious, and well-lit. The room has plenty of daylight and features a high ceiling with original wooden beams and wooden louvre shutters on the outside of the windows. The floor consists of rediscovered and refurbished clay tiles. Both the room window and the bathroom window overlook vineyards and the hills of Montmell. The space Cal Guixater is located in La Joncosa de Montmell, a very quiet village in the hills of El Montmell. The village is 70 km from Barcelona's El Pratt airport and 40 km from Reus/Tarragona airport. The house has three rooms-en-suite on the first floor. The lounge with dining area/breakfast table, the fully equipped kitchen and the upstairs terrace, with views over vineyards and mountains, are on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a second lounge for shared use. Besides a private bathroom with shower and toilet, some units at Cal Guixater also have mountain views. All rooms at the accommodation have bed linen and towels. In the large walled garden is the second terrace, also with stunning views over vineyards and the hills of El Montmell. Parking is available a 1-minute walk from the accommodation, at the Parking Municipal located right at the entrance to the village. The church “Sanctuari de Montserrat” by architect Josep Maria Jujol, a collaborator of Gaudí, is 10 km from Cal Guixater. The monasteries of Santes Creus and Montblanc, (Ruta del Cister) are 20 and 30 km from Cal Guixater respectively, the triumphal arch of Roda de Bera, Arc de Berà, is 23 km away. Travelling for work or study, the accommodation is 36 km from conference centre Palacio de Congresos in Tarragona and Rovira i Virgili University, also in Tarragona, is 35 km from the guest house. The owners speak Dutch, Spanish, English and German. Other things to note La Joncosa de Montmell is very easy to reach. After leaving AP2 at La Bisbal del Penedes (exit 12) it is a beautiful 7 minute drive through the hills to the village. You can park right in the village on the Parking Municipal.
