The space The sailboat is an Benetau Oceanis, 39 feet (about 12 meters) long. It has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The boat has been extensively renovated, providing high comfort on board, with three cabins and two bathrooms, both offering a good hot shower. The boat also features a fully equipped kitchen, including a 100-liter refrigerator, oven, kettle, coffee machine, kitchen mixer, and hand whisk. The kitchen has everything you need, so you can easily prepare delicious meals on board. The boat is located in the heart of the river in the city, so you’ll quickly discover that you are close to everything the city has to offer — cafés, restaurants, the literature house, shopping, and sightseeing in Fredrikstad. The view from the boat is beautiful and exciting. At the same time, it’s worth noting that the location is very quiet, yet only a 5-minute walk to the city center and the quay with all its restaurants and attractions. From the same quay, a little further down, you can take the free city ferry to the beautiful Old Town of Fredrikstad. The Old Town is a must-visit, with its cobblestone streets, cafés, and small shops. Even the ferry ride itself is a sightseeing experience and a wonderful way to enjoy the city from the water. We hope you will enjoy your stay on the sailboat as much as we do. Guest access On board the boat, the entrance to the lower deck is secured with a coded padlock. The code will be provided on the day of check-in. The earliest check-in time is 1:00 PM. The same entrance can be easily locked from the inside. During autumn and winter, the canopy is put up, so you can still comfortably sit on deck even in colder weather, while the warmth rises from below deck. It is very important that all guests lock the entrance to the lower deck whenever leaving the boat. Please also use the coded padlock. This follows the same principle as not leaving your home door unlocked. Remember, the boat is located in the heart of the city. You are warmly welcome! Other things to note As this is a sailboat, you may want to bring some extra drinking water. The water on board is fine to drink, though it might taste a little different from tap water. It’s great for showering, washing, and cooking.
