Midcentury character — original parquet floors with the patina of nearly 60 years of life, thoughtful art, and a layout that works for couples, families, or remote workers. 🛏️ The Bedrooms Three bedrooms across two floors. The master has a super king bed and built-in wardrobes. The second bedroom has a king bed, natural light, and views over the garden. The third is a single with a proper standing desk — good for remote workers or a child who needs their own space. The house sleeps five — that's a firm limit. 🛋️ Living Space Open-plan modern kitchen and dining downstairs. Miele dishwasher, American-style fridge-freezer with ice dispenser, gas hob, oven, microwave, air fryer, kettle, and toaster. Complimentary tea and instant coffee sachets. The mid-century dining table seats six comfortably. The living room has a Sony Bravia OLED android smart TV — log into your own Netflix, Disney+, or BBC iPlayer accounts. Philips Hue smart lighting throughout — set the mood however you like. Two bathrooms: one with a bathtub and shower, one with the green tile everyone asks about. 🌳 The Garden Private, enclosed, west-facing. Big enough for morning coffee or lunch outside. There's a smaller patio at the front too. Please do not climb the hill at the side of the property — it's not part of the rental and can be dangerously slippery. 🔥 Heating Smart Hive thermostat with wall-mounted radiators throughout. The system comfortably reaches 24–26°C (77–79°F). British homes typically sit around 18–21°C, so if you're visiting from a warmer climate, feel free to turn it up yourself — or ask us and we can adjust it for you remotely. 🅿️ Parking The carport fits up to mid-sized SUVs (for reference, we park our Polestar 2 here). Due to height restrictions, it cannot accommodate minivans, campers, or commercial vehicles. Parking is only permitted in the carport — not on the street or elsewhere on the property. The neighbourhood operates automated enforcement, and incorrectly parked vehicles will receive fines we cannot help with. If you are bringing a car, please send us the vehicle registration/number plate before arrival so we can keep a record for parking management. Thank you. 🔌 EV Charging Available via an Ohme charger, but requires advance permission (please allow one week's notice for remote enablement). A fee applies — contact us before booking if you need to charge. ♻️ Recycling & Waste 🦊 We're required by law to separate recycling in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We've made it easy: clearly labelled outdoor green bins and a simple guide in the kitchen. Please keep waste secured in the green bins— the local foxes are very clever and will spread rubbish everywhere if given the chance. For stays of a week or longer, we'll ask you to roll the green outdoor bins to the collection point on your designated day. This only takes a minute and is appreciated. Feel free to empty kitchen bins into the outdoor general waste and recycling bins (tied up of course) if you run out of space. 🐕 Pets Pets are not automatically permitted — advance permission is required before booking, and approval is at our discretion. Please message us before you book if you plan to bring a pet. Dogs cannot be left unattended. A pet fee applies (see pricing). Service animals are always welcome and exempt from this policy. 🎁 For Longer Stays Staying a week or more? Expect a welcome treat — an artisan cheese selection from The Cheeseboard on Royal Hill, or something from one of the excellent local bakeries in Greenwich and Blackheath. Subject to availability, but we always try to go the extra mile. Complimentary tea, instant coffee, shampoo, shower gel, soap, washing-up supplies, toilet roll, and kitchen roll are provided. If you run out during your stay, there are supermarkets and shops within a 10-minute walk. 🚆 Getting Around We're on a quiet close beside Greenwich Park — well connected to London Bridge, Canary Wharf, Stratford, and Charing Cross via Greenwich Station (National Rail and DLR) and Lewisham Station (National Rail and DLR). For a scenic route, take the Thames Clipper from Greenwich Pier — Borough Market or Battersea by water. ⛴️ Guest access The whole house is yours. Self check-in via lockbox. Other things to note House Rules 🤫 This is a residential street in a quiet neighbourhood. We ask guests to be kind and respect the neighbourhood, our community and our neighbours. 🚫 No parties or gatherings. No visitors who aren't part of your booking. 🔇 Quiet hours after 10pm. Minut noise monitors are installed (they measure volume only, not conversations). 🚭 No smoking anywhere in the property. Evidence of smoking incurs a £300 cleaning fee. 👥 Maximum 5 guests. This is a firm limit for neighbour comfort and insurance compliance. 🧹 Shoes off indoors please — helps keep the space clean. 🪟 Close windows when you head out — prevents water damage. 🍽️ Please load any used dishes and utensils into the Miele dishwasher and run a cycle before you check out.
