The space Chhimeki Lodge in Dhoksan, near Nagarkot, is a unique community project in the heart of Nepal. “Chhimeki” means “neighborhood” – and that’s exactly what you’ll experience here: vibrant village life, authentic Nepali culture, and warm hospitality. Located about one hour’s drive from Kathmandu Airport, the lodge sits on a ridge with breathtaking views of the Himalayas. It offers two comfortable guest rooms with private bathrooms, a shared panoramic terrace, and a kitchen. Traditional vegetarian dinner and breakfast are included. Lunch and other dietary options are available on request. The Community Lodge is a locally run business, and all profits belong to and benefit the community. Built together with local residents from sustainable, locally sourced materials, the lodge showcases traditional building methods and invites you to discover authentic Nepali life. This is how your stay makes an impact! Other things to note HOW TO GET HERE? Our lodge is beautifully located in the peaceful hills, approximately 25 km (as the crow flies) from Kathmandu and just a 45-minute walk from Nagarkot. Surrounded by nature yet easy to reach, your journey here can be as comfortable or adventurous as you like. You can choose from several travel options: ・Private Pick-Up from Kathmandu We offer a convenient pick-up service from Kathmandu, for example from Thamel or directly from Tribhuvan International Airport. ・Pick-Up from Nagarkot or Sankhu If you prefer to travel partly by public transport, you can take a local bus or shared jeep to Nagarkot or Shaku, and we will gladly arrange a pick-up from there. ・Scenic Hike from Nagarkot For guests who enjoy hiking, the beautiful walking trail from Nagarkot to our lodge is a wonderful option. The hike takes about 45 minutes and offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and villages.
