Ploughman’s Cottage is a characterful three-bedroom retreat for up to five guests, full of charm and historic features. One of the oldest cottages in the hamlet of Cottage Orné, it has a wonderfully warm atmosphere, with teal and mustard tones adding richness and depth to its inviting interiors. Full of character and charm it also has a private garden and outdoor Japanese wood-fired bath. The space Step inside Ploughman's Cottage and you’re welcomed straight into a generous open-plan living and dining space, perfect for gathering together after a day out exploring. A well-equipped kitchen sits just off the main room, making it easy to enjoy relaxed meals at home. The cottage is cleverly arranged for comfort and privacy. Downstairs, a spacious super-king bedroom (which can also be set up as twins) comes with its own en-suite shower room. Upstairs, you’ll find a bright king bedroom and a cosy single bedroom, both sharing a family bathroom with bath. Out the back, a private garden offers plenty of space for lounging, dining, and enjoying the fresh air. For something truly special, you can also slip into the outdoor Japanese wood-fired bath, the perfect way to unwind under the sky. On site at Cottage Orné, you’ll also find plenty to enjoy – from swimming in the pool and relaxing in the sauna to stretching in the studio or getting creative in the workshop. And when you’re ready to explore further, South East Cornwall’s beaches, coastal walks, villages and delicious food are all within easy reach. Guest access Guests will have full private access to their own cottage. They will also have shared access with other guests staying on site at Cottage Orné to all of the site’s facilities: - Outdoor swimming pool that's open all year round (heated from May - Sept) - Wellness studio (with yoga mats!) - Saunas with ice bucket showers, and the rest of the grounds. - Share laundry room - Site grounds, gardens and courtyard Please note: the saunas are an additional charge of £12pp for a 50min session. Each sauna will fit a max of 6 people. Once a working farm and now reimagined, retaining a sense of history and a warm, lived-in charm – perfect for holidays, retreats, or full site takeovers. Stay in one of our charming 1–3 bed cottages, or gather a group and spread out in our 7-bedroom Manor House. Altogether, we can host up to 59 guests in total comfort.
