Other things to note IN WINTER On winter days, the road from the main road up to the cabin can be slippery. Good winter tyres and, in some cases, snow chains are recommended. Ideally, you should use a car with four-wheel drive (4WD). DISCOVER THE SURROUNDINGS Nature & outdoor activities Dokkaløypa – A challenging hike offering panoramic views of the area. Finnemarka – A vast nature area perfect for hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing. Mørkonga – A popular trail with beautiful scenery. Sollbergfossen – A 2.3 km walk to a waterfall; great in summer for cooling off in the water. Drammen Spiralen – A unique 1,650-metre spiral tunnel leading you up to a panoramic viewpoint over Drammen. At the top you can walk, visit the open-air museum or enjoy a cup of coffee. In summer, Holmenvika is a great swimming spot only 12 minutes away, with picnic tables and a floating dock. For a larger beach area, Svangstrand in Sylling also has a playground for children.
