Ornate Cottage: Mariner's

Our cottages are tucked away in a little private hamlet that feels like its own tiny village. Mariner’s Cottage is a one-bedroom hideaway on one level, designed with comfort in mind. Calm tones, splashes of blue and touches of orange create a cosy yet stylish feel, while playful nods to its name – painted waves in the bedroom and shell-shaped kitchen knobs, add charm. The space The bright open-plan kitchen and living room look onto the little “village green,” with a built-in velvet sofa and log burner at its heart, perfect for unwinding after a big day. The bedroom has a super-king bed that can also be set as twins, with soft finishes for a restful stay. The bathroom offers a full bath with shower over, while outside a little seating area with fire pit makes a lovely spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. There’s plenty to enjoy on site, whatever the weather. Swim in the pool, relax in the sauna, stretch in the studio, or get creative in the workshop. And when you’re ready to explore, South East Cornwall’s beaches, coastal walks, villages and delicious food are all within easy reach. Guest access Guests will have full private access to their own cottage. They will also have shared access with other guests staying on site at Cottage Orné to all of the site’s facilities: - Outdoor swimming pool that's open all year round (heated from May - October) - Wellness studio (with yoga mats!) - Saunas with ice bucket showers, and the rest of the grounds. - Shared laundry room - Site grounds, gardens and courtyard Please note: the saunas are an additional charge of £12pp for a 50min session. Each sauna will fit a max of 6 people. Other things to note Tucked away in its own pocket of Cornish countryside, our private hamlet is a collection of beautifully designed cottages and shared spaces called Cottage Orné. Once a working farm and now reimagined, retaining a sense of history and a warm, lived-in charm – perfect for holidays, retreats, or full site takeovers. Stay in one of our charming 1–3 bed cottages, or gather a group and spread out in our 7-bedroom Manor House. Altogether, we can host up to 59 guests in total comfort.
