Dreaming of a vacation by the sea? Welcome to our cozy & spacious house with glazed terrace & guest house on the island of Oknö! Here, it is quiet & peaceful. Walking distance to swimming areas, playgrounds, fishing & hiking trails makes the stay perfect for both relaxation & adventure. Our cottage is ideal for 2 families who want to vacation together. The space Our house is 84 sqm with open floor plan between kitchen & living room. 2 large bedrooms with wardrobes, 1 cozy sleeping loft, a fireplace & a large bathroom. The bathroom and kitchen have the amenities that many have at home. Shower is what is used (not bathing in the bathtub). Our enclosed terrace connects the house and the guest house. On the glazed terrace there is a large dining table, sofa & TV. Chromecast works for the TV. WiFi works well. The guest house is 16 sqm and there are sleeping places for 4-5 people. In addition to the enclosed terrace, there is a large terrace without a roof. We have tables, chairs, sofas & grills so it is enough for 10-12 people. High chair available. Our cottage is located on a 1350 sqm plot in the middle of the island. Some grass but mostly forest land. Guest access You have at your disposal what you see. It's everything from cutlery and salt to washing machine and toys. Most closets are empty but the ones we use are marked. Other things to note Bring your own towels and bedding (sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers). All our beds are equipped with terrycloth covers, mattress covers and pillow covers. Shoes are not allowed to be used indoors. 4 bicycles are available to borrow. At Oknö, there are swimming areas with diving towers, trampolines, jetties and sandy beaches. For those interested in fishing, the area offers some of Sweden's most species-rich waters. Nature on Oknö is something extra all year round. A nine-kilometer hiking trail winds around the island and nearby is Ramsö Nature Reserve with an adventure trail, windbreak and barbecue area. Mountain bike trails: available at Långehäll. In summer, there is an ice cream parlor, a bread shop and a restaurant on the island. Only 6 km away is Mönsterås with grocery stores, restaurants and cafés. Here you will also find a popular swimming pool, gym, 9-hole golf course, massage and yoga studio. Recommended day trips: * Kalmar – about 45 minutes by car * Öland – about 1 hour by car * Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby – about 1.5 hours by car * Glasriket in Kosta – about 1.5 hours by car
