Just 10 mins away, is the to the market town of Hesdin, with Supermarkets, shops, restaurants, sports centre with indoor and outdoor pools and garages. We also have a bakery delivery each morning just outside the cottage. First renovated in 2010 the cottage, the owners regularly update it between seasons and provide an on site maintenance if needed. The cottage still retains its original beams, and now has all the comforts of modern day living, including double glazing, electric heating, and for the cooler nights, a wood burner. Crecy, Agincourt, Arras and the Vimy Ridge and the battlefield of the Somme are all within easy reach, as is the Atlantic Wall and visitor centres including La Capole. Should you wish to travel further afield Paris (day trip by TGV from Arras), Lille and Lens (new Louvre museum) are all in easy travel distance. There beaches along the Cote de Opale are beautiful and each year host a kite festival at the end of April.
