Self-contained annex in village

The self contained annex sits within the garden of our 18th century thatched cottage in the small village of Little Chesterford. The accommodation is split over two levels. A self serve continental style breakfast is provided. Guests have exclusive use of a bedroom with sofa and workspace, two bathrooms and a small kitchen with breakfast bar. Ideally situated for trains to Cambridge and London, and a 10 minute drive to the historic market town of Saffron Walden. The space The 2025 built annexe property is accessed via its own private front door and is for the exclusive use of guests during their stay. The main bathroom and kitchen area are on the ground floor, and the bedroom and adjoining cloakroom are upstairs. Please note the bedroom is very spacious although in the eaves with associated height restrictions. Please also note, if you are booking for a third party and do not intend to stay in the annex yourself you must message and request this prior to making a booking. The bedroom includes a swivel television that can be viewed from either the sofa or the bed. There is also a desk suitable for working at. All curtains and blinds (including velux) are blackout. The main downstairs bathroom comprises of a walk in rainfall shower, wc and basin. There is underfloor heating throughout the downstairs and in the upstairs bathroom, and radiators in the bedroom. Downstairs has a kitchen area, breakfast bar seating and coffee area seating. The kitchen includes fridge, toaster, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities and is equipped with crockery and cutlery. Please note there is no oven or hob. There is a snooker table in the downstairs room where the kitchen is, but this is not for guest use. We provide our guests with a self serve continental breakfast which includes porridge and home or locally baked bread with butter and condiments. Oat milk is provided - if you would prefer a different type of milk please let us know. The property is ideally situated: - peaceful village - 15 mins walk to two pubs in adjoining village of Great Chesterford - 10 minutes drive to the historic and quaint market town of Saffron Walden - 20 mins drive into Cambridge - Rail station at Great Chesterford - 20 mins to Cambridge, 50 mins to 1 hr to central London - 20 mins by road to Stansted Airport - Ideally located for surrounding research parks / campuses There is exclusive free drive parking for guests immediately next to the Annexe. The front door is accessed by entering our garden through a side gate - please note we have a dog. We currently can’t accommodate dogs/ pets. We don’t offer use of our garden, other than for access. We request strictly no smoking or vaping at the property. Guest access There is a key safe attached to the annex. You will receive a message a few days before your stay with details on how to find the property and the key safe code.
