Ideal for contractor teams, students, and group stays, we offer shared 4-bed rooms designed for comfort and practicality. The space Welcome to Hurtwood Hideout – Your Escape in the Surrey Hills Nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills, Hurtwood Hideout is the perfect place to gather, celebrate, and explore. Surrounded by miles of beautiful trails, forests, and rolling countryside, it’s an ideal spot for walkers, cyclists, and anyone looking to switch off and reconnect with nature. Our versatile space makes Hurtwood Hideout perfect for: Family getaways – with plenty of room to relax and outdoor adventures for all ages. Birthday celebrations – enjoy a unique countryside stay with space for your whole group. Reunions & group breaks – a welcoming base to eat, laugh, and spend time together. Active escapes – cycle, hike, or run straight from the door into some of the UK’s most scenic routes. Guest access Guest Facilities at Hurtwood Hideout Guests have full use of the Hurtwood Hideout hostel area and its facilities during their stay. This includes: Communal Areas – Our comfortable shared space upstairs is perfect for relaxing, socialising, or unwinding after a day outdoors. Feel free to make yourself at home and enjoy the friendly, laid-back atmosphere. Kitchen & Dining Spaces – A small upstairs kitchen is available for guests to prepare light meals, teas, and coffees. It’s ideal for simple cooking or snacks for individuals and small groups. Please note that self-catering for large groups is not possible due to the limited size and facilities of the kitchen. For group stays, we strongly recommend arranging meals through us with the café. Outdoor Areas – Step straight out into the beautiful Surrey Hills with direct access to woodland trails and countryside walks. Important Note About the Café Please note that the café attached to the hostel is independently owned and not part of Hurtwood Hideout. It is a public café and not available for private or exclusive use at any time. Guests are welcome to purchase food, drinks, and coffee there during opening hours. For large group stays (such as breakfast, lunch, or dinner), we highly recommend booking your meals through us. We can coordinate directly with the café to arrange group dining or full-day catering tailored to your visit. If your group books a private dinner through us, you are welcome to have exclusive use of the café space until 10:00pm on the evening of your booking — ideal for group meals, celebrations, or simply winding down together. Camping Ground The camping ground is located within the Hurtwood Hideout grounds and is available for use by guests staying on-site. Please note that this area may also be used by other visitors unless your group chooses to book exclusive use of the camping ground for an additional £500. This ensures full private access to the entire outdoor space during your stay. Check-In / Check-Out Check-in: from 3:00pm Check-out: by 10:00am Early check-in or late check-out may be available by prior arrangement. Parking Free on-site parking is available for guests. Please park considerately and follow any signs or guidance provided on arrival. Noise & Consideration To ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, we kindly ask that quiet hours are observed between 10:00pm and 8:00am. Other things to note Additional Information Sister Pub – The Hurtwood Inn Our sister pub, The Hurtwood Inn, is just a 25-minute walk away. It’s a great spot for hearty food, a drink by the fire, or a relaxed evening out in the heart of the village. Wood-Fired Pizza Truck For special occasions, we can arrange for our wood-fired pizza truck to come directly to Hurtwood Hideout. It’s perfect for birthdays, reunions, or group celebrations, with packages starting from £500. Café Lounge Please note that the café lounge is open to the public during its regular hours and is not available for private use unless your group has booked it for dinner through us. On-Site Team Our team live on-site and are available 24/7 to ensure your stay runs smoothly. Rooms 13 and 14 are reserved for staff accommodation and guest support. If you need anything — whether that’s local recommendations, assistance during your stay, or extra supplies — we’re always nearby and happy to help. Activities & Experiences With enough notice, we can arrange a wide range of group activities at an additional cost, including climbing walls, archery sessions, mountain biking, and more.
