The space Built in 1897 this charming cottage, full of character sits nestled within the established gardens of our historic homestead. The open plan living space consists of a cosy sitting area, intimate dining corner and a luxurious king bed commanding the far end of the room. The adjoining French doors open into a new light filled kitchenette and large bathroom featuring an antique claw foot bath positioned to take in the sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. Enjoy life’s simple pleasures with slow mornings, wanderings through the garden and nature walks. Bask in the golden light of evening, admiring glorious sunsets or sip drinks on the verandah overlooking the garden. As ours is a working farm, you may see sheep and cattle grazing in the paddocks beyond the garden fence. Nearby Wellington is an historic town with a rich history situated in the foothills of the scenic Catombel Range where the Bell and Macquarie rivers meet. Wellington Caves, Mount Arthur Reserve and Burrendong Dam being popular places of interest. The surrounding region presents a variety of destinations to experience and explore. Discover Western Plains Zoo, the Royal Flying Doctor Visitor Experience in Dubbo or day trip further afield to savour award winning restaurants and wineries in Mudgee and Orange. All within close proximity. Guest access The property is conveniently located just 5 minutes from Wellington, 30 minutes from Dubbo and 1 hour from Orange and Mudgee. Private entrance and parking is located at the rear of the cottage. Breakfast provisions with locally sourced produce are included. Other things to note Prior to arrival we will share directions to the property, instructions on how to access the cottage and anything else you may need to know. Unfortunately the yard around the cottage is not fully fenced so as much as we like furry friends, we are unable to accommodate pets. Please note, the outdoor fire pit will only be available to use between late April and September. Firewood will be supplied during that time. Registration details Exempt
