McColes Cottage on Wild Atlantic Way

"McColes". My Irish home. Not a commercial airbb. Secluded, simple, fresh, bright airy cottage. In extensive private grounds near the coast. Views and frontage to Lake Meela. (No "maintained" path to the lake.) The fishing village and pubs of Burtonport are 3km away by Rail Trail which passes nearby. There is a local petrol station shop. This is a quiet, scenic area. Good for outdoor activities. Good safe beaches nearby. Well behaved pets welcome. Plenty of scope for excercise. The space Simple. No frills. No Hi-Tec. Uncluttered. Bright. Quiet. Views. Extensive private grounds with lake frontage . Near sea, islands and beaches. Shop, fishing village and pubs nearby. Guest access entire Other things to note This is my Irish home. Not a commercial purpose bought airbb investment property. My books are still on the shelves but my personal posessions are all locked away....out of your way. My home is yours. Wifi now installed for university course. There is no TV, no dishwasher and no washing machine! ie : No frills! On purpose. Simple life. Easy to maintain. Easier to deep clean more effectively. There is a radio (which you do not have to turn on!) This is quite a remote area. Guests need to be able to amuse themselves and visit to enjoy the peace and the landscape. The weather can be changeable. If you have young children think how you will amuse them without TV . Will you just dress appropriately and still go to the beach? Come prepared with suitable clothing and footwear for "all weathers". There is no press button oil fired central heating. There are electric oil filled heaters and an electric water heater but you should be comfortable lighting the solid fuel stove to burn logs, coal and turf (all provided). This stove further heats the house and radiators when the sun goes down. It helps heats the water for baths. There is a vintage "over bath" electric shower for a quick rinse in the morning or after a salty swim!
